The first teaser trailers were HORRIBLE
It made the film look very uninteresting
but as time goes on they seem to getting be better.
Somtneing about the Claire Danes character
being a fallen star and Michelle Pfeiffer
as the evil witch that wants to steal her beauty.
At least thats what i got from it
Duct tape is like the force....
There's a lightside, a darkside
and it holds everything together
There are too many people in the world...We need another plague -Dwight K. Shrute [The Office]

The trailers don't give a good impression, though.

Any movie Michelle Pfeiffer's in has to be seen just for her.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

I saw it and it reminded me of The Princess Bride. Very funny movie, I enjoyed it, even though they have this habit of filming Claire Danes in a way that insults her nose.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

SPOILER
When you watch 2 hours of an English couple snipping at eachother, talking about cholera, and then dying,
END SPOILER
It's nice to sit down to a quasi English couple actually having a really cute relationship and living happily ever after. The ghosts were possibly the best part.
Also did anyone else notice that Septimus WAS Snape? Even down to the name (Rowling got Severus, his first name, from Roman emperor Septimus Severus) I would say they may as well have gotten Rickman in on it, but the actor demands as immediate ntoice as much as his character does when walking into the potions dungeon. My most vivid memory of Order of the Phoenix will always be the one or two lines he had with Umbridge, and I somehow doubt I'm alone in that.
But back to Stardust, jebus, that's a great movie. They had a lot of star power in the thing, but it didnt seem to be slapping you in the face, I got the impression that these actors weren't in it to act, they were in it to make a fun film, and just sort of blended into it. The Princess Bride is the only fantasy movie that I can compare to this, and I think that in a generation or so, another movie will come along that will be compared to Stardust.
