Oh, Heccubus, I've listened to some more NIN, and I agree with your point of view regarding Year Zero. Up until The Fragile, Trent is just great, but after, I dunno what happened to him...

"The Fragile" was an excessive, self-indulgent ego-wank. 3/4 of it is complete shit, and the rest is "meh".

I have a feeling the new Streetlight Manifesto album's gonna be a bit special, as is the new Zombina and the Skeletones biscuit. Oh, and if APATT pull their fingers out and release black and white mass, that'll be an amazing end to the year.

Yeah, well, Heccubus, I like the Fragile, it works. Well, not all of it, some tracks make little to no sense, but as a whole, the album is good, in my opinion. Of course, Pretty Hate Machine, Broken, and The Downward Spiral are all brilliant albums IMHO, because there is not a track on there that I don't love.

Just out of curiosity, Heccubus, what NIN albums do you like?

"Pretty Hate Machine" and "The Downward Spiral". That's about it. If he compiled the strongest tracks off of everything else onto a cohesive 2-disc set, it would be nearly perfect, but they don't work as standalone releases. Especially the plethora of useless remix albums he's put out over the years. Who else isn't at all interested in "Year Zero Remixed"!?

Ditto about the remix stuff. I really don't get why he's doing those, the songs really make no sense... And I really don't give a rat's arse about Year Zero Remixed, and why the fuck did he have to write it in leet???

My two cents regarding NIN:

I can't stand them. However, my girlfriend dragged me along to one of their shows, and I must say, it was quite good. Certainly better than I thought it was gonna be.

The first and last NIN song I listened to was Closer. I decided that if I wanted to listen to some fag with a bad voice scream at me about sex and penetration, I'd, uh

Ok, I can't think of a hilarious comparison, but fuck you, this band is awful.
