heres another one:...

ANAKIN: "Hit the nose!"
(sounds more like a scripted line from a Milton Bradley board game television commericial advertisement from the 1980's than anything George Lucas would write into his script).

yes all the movies have bad lines but we must remeber a very disturbing scene
the one where Anakin and padme are having a conversation

ANAKIN: Don't get me wrong... Obi-Wan is a great mentor, as
wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu. I am
truly thankful to be his apprentice. Only... although I'm a
Padawan learner, in some ways... a lot of ways... I'm ahead
of him. I'm ready for the trials. I know I am! He knows it
too. But he feels I'm too unpredictable... Other Jedi my
age have gone through the trials and made it... I know I
started my training late... but he won't let me move on.

PADMÉ: That must be frustrating.

ANAKIN: It's worse... he's overly critical! He never
listens! He just doesn't understand. It's not fair!

There is a brief silence, then PADMÉ comes over to ANAKIN.

PADMÉ: Anakin...

They look into each other's eyes for the first time.

PADMÉ: Don't try to grow up too fast.

ANAKIN: I am grown up. You said it yourself.

ANAKIN looks deep into PADMÉ'S eyes.

PADMÉ: Please don't look at me like that.

ANAKIN: Why not?

PADMÉ: It makes me feel uncomfortable.

ANAKIN: Sorry, M'Lady.

ANAKIN backs away as PADMÉ turns and goes back to her
packing.

this is the first time in the whole Hayden/Natalie saga when i think this guy is a total pervert.
But then again spending most of his time with a man without female interactions could... no now i'm contradicting myself! anyways he's a pervert in that scene with his look and the lines are just bad bad bad.

Duct tape is like the force....

There's a lightside, a darkside

and it holds everything together

(I almost feel like Hayden Christensen should be critically acclaimed for saying these lines,.I dont think in the history of cinema has any actor been required to remember so much to say,..be as far away from the actor/actress that they are interacting with as possible,...and the whole while,.Hayden is playing with some sort of floating metallic ball that he seems to be more interested in than his dear romantic relationship with Padme. totally awesome. If I was caught with my head turned away playing with a yo-yo while on a hot date at a nice restaurant while my date was trying to converse with me,.Id get knocked out silly...but Hayden is cooler than me and get away with this )

then there is this line...

ANAKIN: It's worse... he's overly critical! He never
listens! He just doesn't understand. It's not fair!

(who is talking here?...its really funny the way Anakin drags out the way he says "understand"...sounds more like Macaulay Culkin throwing a temper tantrum during the filming of Home Alone)

I just had a really interesting thought. We all know that George Lucas likes to go back into films and rearrange, delete, add, mix assorted video and sounds into the Star Wars films,.to make them better,.or at least in his mind

Imagine if you will,..the epic science-fiction/action blockbuster film "Terminator 2:Judgment Day",.only all the scenes involving Arnold Schwarzenegger have been digitally removed and have now been replaced with footage with C3PO....

C3PO: "Goodness gracious me...I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle!"

C3PO: "I'll be back!"

C3PO: "Hasta la vista,.baby"

C3PO: "Come with me,.if you want to live,..(classic 3PO scream follows) "OOOOOHH!"

C3PO: "YOU DID,..35 years from now,.you reprogrammed me and sent me back to be your protector here,..in this time"

C3PO: "I am Cyberdyne Systems model 101,..and I am fluent in over 6 billion forms of communication"

C3PO: "chill out,..dickwad,..no problemo"

No actor anywhere should ever have been required to say the words, "It's worse...he's overly critical!"

Can you picture Gregory Peck speaking those words? Sean Connery? Heck, even Jack Nicholson?

No, it took a new generation of actors to pull this off. Only Gen Y could step forward to claim that line.

But with Mark it would have sounded like a complaining teenager. With Hayden it sounds like Gen Y complaining collectively complaining about their ex-hippy parents to Dr. Phil.

About the only actor from the older generation I could picture uttering that masterpiece is a 19 year old Mark Hamill, which makes sense I suppose.

Generation Y?...Holy smokes!!, are we already there? Last call I heard, we was at Generation X. Geezus,..I must be getting up in my years. I really dont know what my generation is called,.but I grew up during a time when TV featured shows about things that always exploded...shows like Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, Airwolf, MacGyver, A-Team, Magnum P.I., and Miami Vice.

....by the way..what exactly constitutes Generation Y from Generation X (man, why do I feel like I am talking about chromosomes here?) When did Gen Y begin?

The extreme enunciation of Doo Koo always cracked me up. Were the actors subtly making fun of how stupid the name sounds?

I share your confusion, Mireaux7.

I have read things for the "baby boomer" generation starting in 1946... according to another report, it started in 1946. That seems to change, depending on the reporter or whomever is writing the story. Then, the baby boom generation ends in 1960, or was it 1966?

I am confused, because I was born in 1966, so does that make me the tail end of the baby boomers or the leading edge of Generation X?

For all intents and purposes, there seems to be a consensus that Generation Y started in 1980. Or thereabouts.

well, myladyblue, i did some research and i found out that, since you were born in 1966, youre generation is called "generation jones".

(emits scooby-doo confusion remark "RRRRUHH??")

yeah, thats what i say to it to..i never even heard of that generation. I was born in 1976, and refuse to be categorized with what is known as generation X.

oh, by the way, i got my research from this link. http://en.wikipedia...._of_generations

I personally dont find this link to be very credible. IMHO, a "generation" should be every 18 years. The reason I feel that way, is because 18 years of age is when we reach adulthood, it is when most of us set out on our own course in the pursuit of life. many get married at 18 to their highschool sweethearts. many also reproduce at this age as well. so thats why i feel that 18 years should mark every generation.

there are marked differences in generation gap between me, being born in 1976,.and my nephew who was born in 1980. i even felt marked differences between myself and girls i dated that were born in 1982. we simply cant be from the same generation. if i can talk about something that is relative to my time with someone who was born my same year, or maybe 2 years around it (give or take), where someone else maybe 5 or 10 years my junior has no utter idea what im talking about,..that would be a gap in generation.

I believe in what youre saying about a new generation starting in the early 1980's. you placed it right at 1980. if i had to evaluate it further, id place it closer to being around 1982. i think that 1982 is when generation x started, or maybe its when i would like to believe in my mind when it started. generation x was reknowned for being dubbed as "the generation with no direction of occupational pursuit". Ok, maybe it wasnt exactly coined that way, but something to that effect.

Theres just a marked difference in those born in the late 1970's, compared to those born in the early 1980's. anyone else out there feel what I am feeling, feel free to respond, especially if you were born in the eras specifically aforementioned.

Ok, others post theirs, but this is mine. It's not from any of the "witty banter" between Obi-Wan and Anakin, or any of the more queasy romantic moments. It's when Anakin decides to go and see his mother. Here's the scene, for those of you who forgot.

Anakin: I know I'm disobeying my mandate to protect you Senator, but I have to leave.

Padme: I'll go with you.

Anakin: I'm sorry, I don't have a choice.

WHAT? I mean say what you will about horrible corny, quease-inducing dialogue, at least they make sense. This line is just ridiculous. She said she'd go with you!! Quit your bitchin and leave! That's like asking someone to marry you, having them say yes, and then saying "Oh c'mon please!" Either it was screwed up in editing, there was another line Padme was supposed to say or something, or it's just the dumbest line ever.

Oh, and how can I forget:

"It's working! It's working!"

"Yipee!"

Young Boba Fett: "Heh heh heh."

"That little droid did it!"

"I don't care what universe you're from, that's gotta hurt!" WHAT?!

"You're ... beautiful."

There are so many! I know I will think of more after posting ...
