Well, Lucas obviously isn't planning anything special for tomorrow, but I'm wondering what anybody here is doing?

I'm just planning to pop in my 2006 DVD and watch the original '77 Star Wars, no raids on Skywalker ranch dressed as a plastic lightsaber wielding Jawa warriors with talking yoda dolls taken hostage...

Anybody else?

I mean, if any day ought to be special to nerds, it's tomorrow (or tonight at midnight, if you're really splitting hairs I suppose, assuming there was a midnight premiere).

I am watching my pre-THX releases on VHS. Remember those?

Awesome!

So can you tell me, in those editions, do the stormtroopers say "The door's locked, move on to the next one" or do they say "It's secure, move on..." (in the Tatooine scenes)?

In ESB does Luke say R2D2 is lucky "to get out of there" or that he "doesn't taste very good"?

In ROTJ, does Han say "it's alright, trust me" or "I can see a lot better" to Lando?

Sorry, just wanted to know. wink.gif

I'm sure I would not know. Unlike some, I simply am not that interested in the differences between the releases..at least not when it comes to the earlier ones...

I have seen a few of the choices that are being voted on. They are nice.

Awesome, now we can send that hatemail to Lucas in style!

Lucas: (reading)

"'Dear Luca$, aka 'Puke-ass',
You suck! Screw off and die, you Jar Jar loving hoser!

PS: See the enclosed DVD that I smashed.

Signed,

OT forever.'

Has anybody else seen all these Star Wars tribute shows in the past few days? Its like a GL ball-liking fest on every goddamn channel. These fucking people make me sick. They make it sound like GL waved his magic wand and presto: Star Wars OT. What about all the other people who really made these films such a great success? Gods I FUCKING HATE GEORGE LUCAS!!!
