You mean street servants?

Not looking at their uniforms I'd mistake them for fast windscreen wipers.

20 minutes? So wouldn't the fastest drive through service be a self made packed lunch through your kitchen?

I've only had trouble with maccas drive through when I've gone to a 24hour store at 2am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. As the inside closes at 11pm or so and nothing else is open, the drive through is the only option and thus packed.

At regular times, I once had to wait 10 minutes in a Red Rooster drive through, but then I saw somebody carrying a catering pack out and realised that the staff were a little overwhelmed at the time.

Then again, it really isn't all that hard making hamburgers.

uhh,.i dont know about all that..went ive went into the lobby of several fast food restaurants, ive glanced behind the counter and in the back i could see these pyramid style charts of how to correctly assemble a hamburger.

its funny how they even give certain names to it to,..like the bottom of the bun is called a "heel", and the top half of the bun is called something else weird and gay.

Hmm, it's been a few years, but I should remember it.

Starting from the bottom-

Heel (bottom roll)
Patty
Cheese
Onions
Pickles
Lettuce
Lid (top roll with mayo or ketchup or both already on it)

Single with cheese.

See, it isn't really that hard. Wrapping them is fun.

It's called a crown.

And 20 mins wait for P.J.'s Full Moon Barbeque is well worth it.

At Hardees we had a gun that dispensed pre-mixed ketchup and mustard.

Where the hell is P.J.'s? Is that worth a 20 hour drive to get there?

Hardees is the bomb, I love their hot ham and cheese. Too bad they left here and most of them became Carl's Jrs.

I have a gun that dispenses premixed violence and rage if my order isnt made right the first friggin time.

huuuuhh???
get out!! where in the world do you live at?..thats a far-fetched McDream here in the states..expecting that type of Mcservice from Mcd's, or even getting free McCrap is next to Mcnone.

i forgot to mention earlier that, regarding McDonalds specifically,...many of their locations now feature these "2 in 1 ordering lanes", that allow them to take orders simoultaneously from different cars.

Just as I was saying, McDonalds has already figured out a way to take more orders per hour.

Someone asked why do I go to McDonalds, and not Wendys instead.

Honestly, I dont really care much for fast food, and would rather prefer to eat healthy,.but in this crazy hectic world, unfortunately I frequently find myself in the situation of me eating fast food, or eating nothing at all. (because of time limitations)

And usually wherever I happen to be, there always seems to be a McDonalds around, and Wendys never seems to be around, unless I actually venture out and seek them. Just my luck.

Well Blue i live in Canada

my frinds on the subject they too

And in response to your McRant
i think especially from what i've read

if they actually spit in your food its time to sue.
I can't imagine the logic

how you wouldn't recieve a free
ice cream or flurry after a long wait.

I thought McD's valued there customers,
guess not in the states

I have never waited more than 5 minutes for fast food. And when that does happen, the server first sees if the wait is appropriate for you:

"That will be about 5 minutes for that; is that ok?"

This is apparently to give you the option of ordering something else instead. I've never had someone take my money first and then tell me it'll be a wait. If you agree to the wait, they ask you to step aside while they deal with the next customer. Then they bring the food out to you when it's ready and outrageously hot. I've never had anyone offer me free desserts, but I imagine that might happen if the initial estimated wait were wrong.

I don't know if this has anything to do with living in Canada. I live in a city, with numerous late-night fast food choices. I'd be curious to know whether the folks complaining about terrible service live in more rural areas.

Spit and semen; I don't know. After all, Abbey does live outside Detroit.

I hate it when I wash my hands at the fast food restaurant that there's no hot water.

Was talking with a bud, and saying I'll leave if there's no hot water, for I don't want food prepared by someone who didn't (properly) wash his hands after using the bathroom.

And my friend quipped "Or something else" ohmy.gif

When I first read that, I was shocked that you could get beer at McDonalds.

Funny that this topic sprang up, I just started working the Steak and Shake fast food lane just yesterday.

The reason we want you to pull up (as happens very rarely) is because something in your order is taking a very long time (damn salads) and we can be serving other people while we wait for the salads to be made.

at the next stake and shake executive board meeting, when they are reviewing current menu items, drive thru completion times, and other relating business topics..they need to look in depth at their currently featured salad.

the "damn salad", as you referred to it. if it really does take an unusual amount of time to prep, then it is probably not feasible to have. They need to think up ways to prep up the same salad faster,.maybe even offer it as already-made.

if the companies focus is to always go fresh, then introducing an alternative salad may be the way to go. unless your salad is truly remarkable and worth an extended wait at the drive-thru, its not worth it, and many would opt for one of say, arbys salads instead.

That pretty much is just saying that the company wants to ring up more transactions, at the price of making you wait longer for your food. The idea of trying to complete several orders simoulataneously, can at times, take the focus off of the longest-waiting customer..and/or get orders mixed up.

one order at-a-time should be the mandate.
