QUOTE (Heccubus @ May 9 2007, 07:13 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm having a difficult time coming to terms with the idea of someone wearing a Hawaiian shirt with corduroy pants.
Someone hold me?

Umm, can you picture a person in Hawaiian shirt with plain blue jeans, for instance? Like the bloke in Vice City? Now basically it's the same thing but the pants are white and have a slightly different texture. Oh yeah, and my shirt is not teal, but a very light red with bright patterns.

I think you missed the context of my post. I was indicating that the outfit you were referring to is horrifying to me.

Now look! You've scared Chylde! It's going to take me forever to get him out from under the bed...

Slade, get the broom.

I'll get the broom, but it's Heccubus who is terrified.

I get the impression that I should have never wandered into this thread. It's just going straight to hell now.

Oh I know very well it's Heccubus who's terrified. But Chyld might be too and the best way to fix that is hitting him with a broom........

No actually I just got them mixed up. Fawking late night posts... Fawking Barenjager.

I'm not going to hit him with a broom.

I am going to say that a lot of style is just too much effort for me. I wear what entertains me and is comfortable.

Maybe a new age fashion of witches style.

Thought of this: "I found a new age of fashion and that is no fashion."

If you want some advice on wearing heels, build up some calluses. Also, get a pair of boots or something with ankle support to get practice before you try dressy pumps and so forth without. Practice is key.

So... ...Do you wear pumps often? I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that you were a boy. Which would be kind of funny if you are really a girl, because everyone thought I was a guy for a long time when I first came to the forums. Not that there's anything wrong with wearing heels if you're a guy, and you just really want to wear heels...

Figured someone would ask that. Like I said above, I edit a fashion magazine. As a result, I hear an awful lot about women's fashion. Also, I find it odd the girls wear uncomfortable heels to our meetings where there is only one male (me, who is not someone they try to impress) and frequently ask why. I've never worn heels myself, although I doubt I'd have much trouble as I already spend about two hours a day walking on the balls of my feet. Martial arts and all that.

And no, I'm not a girl. I generally consider myself a man rather than a boy as well, but I'm more concerned with the gender than the maturity. Maturity isn't much fun anyway.

Whether it be too late or not, I am going to say what I wear.

I usually wear t-shirts, jeans, and my kick-awesome leather jacket, unless the outfit I wear that day doesn't allow for the leather jacket, such as if it is a bowling shirt, or, my favorite, when I wear my scrubs. I get nearly all of my clothes from Savers, a second-hand thrift store much like the Salvation Army. (Not because I'm too poor or anything to shop at Old Navy, but because they have the best shirts ever there. A nice black button shirt with the Sprint logo on the breast! People ask me if I work at the Sprint store! Lots of funny t-shirts, and, my favorite, corporate events shirts. I have a shirt that says 'Our Customers are the play of the game.')

As for shoes, I never really thought Converse were all too terribly nice-looking, and usually opt for more robust shoes. I was given some Converse for Christmas a while back, and await the day I grow out of them so my step-mom doesn't make me wear them anymore.

Gah, sorry Cyzyk. I forgot you were the one that worked for the fashion magazine. So many people on these forums it's getting hard to keep track of them all. And I just say "boy" to indicate the male gender, because I'm silly and weird like that, I didn't mean it as an insult to your maturity.

Aaaand take it from someone who's trained in various martial arts for lotsa years, martial arts training does not help one wear high heels... I wish it did! tongue.gif

Really? I've have to find a pair and try sometime. Although not soon, and certainly not with anyone within a few miles.
