*puts on some Transplants, just because*
As for my fashion sense, its still firmly rooted in the "black T-shirts and jeans" genre. However, over the last three years, more colours have burst in there (except yellow and white, they still suck). A few shirts, too. And I look fucking ripped in a suit.

Now resigned to a readership of me, my cat and some fish

Being asexual I guess picking up chicks or men is out, so I suppose my reasons are indeed mostly childish or just that I dont like to look like other people.
Yes, Oh Gods Yes! I love coats, robes and long jackets. Anything that adds length and flow. I wante to get a Victorian style frock coat, the kind with a thin waste.
It is a mystery... Perhaps Emu is a spy?
I love the Victorian fashion too. I tend to wear my ties more like a cravat than a tie and I have a good many smoking jackets and such. Also, I have an outfit that looks exactly like the zoot suit picture you posted except done in red. Right down to a red band on the fedora.
Also, I just got two new studded belts. Woot!

For now my style is a mix of urban, London street life, 80s/retro and a muddle of other influences like 70s punk, goth, new wave, and 80s "college rock" looks. It mostly results in my wearing a lot of fitted blazers, skinny ties, military vintage, garish accessories (like rosaries and large sunglasses) and fitted jeans (often torn in several places); all of this is typically worn in black, white or grey aside from jeans.
For a couple of quick celebrity checkpoints to get an idea of my style:
