I haven't had a haircut in almost a year now, but I never had any issues (or incidents) like this. People tend not to notice me.

Australian's don't believe in the stupid concept of tipping, so they get paid the standard fare anyway.

the whole concept of tipping has always made me wonder about something for a long time: do many establishments that solicit customer tipping already have gratuities already "secretly" included within the price of their product/service?

i.e. some finer restaurants may divide such hidden gratuities with their employees as bonuses,.other establishments may retain such hidden costs as part of management's pay.

hey,.what are we talking about here? food or haircuts?

Really? It must really suck to be a waitress or take-out delivery person down there.

...Not that those jobs don't suck anyway.

Not as much as you think. We don't tip because it's expected that they'll be payed a decent wage. You would only tip somebody for really amazing service. Though a couple of my friends used to deliver pizzas, and they said they were often tipped as people were to hungry to bother waiting for change. They then proceeded to tell me I was a horrible person for not tipping pizza delivers, despite them taking 30 minutes or so longer then they should have.

And sorry for abducting your thread, it was never my intention smile.gif

Back to the hair!

Wait wait wait, first I'd like to fully agree on that last post, as it exactly represents my own opinion.

Okay, back to the hair business now.
