I used this abused laptop for months now in difficult to see situations on the top right. Nothing I don't think I could do suspecting a cracked display and the risk of damaging it further. The screen started to flash with lines sometimes and a line ontop of the display a couple of days ago. Now today the white patch, lines and squared lines have gone. Now I don't know if there is a crack or not. Even after posting this it might come back.

From last time:

Interlace effect and unclear.

Pressure point on where the screw fell out.

Today:

Sharp and clear.
No white patch and interlacing lines.

Fullscreen with no problems.

It is almost like a miracle so I got to find out how this happened.

Any thoughts?

It goes back when it is shakened or moved roughly in certain angles.

With slight a slam on the table it has gone for now:

Possibilities:

(1) Hot weather and high temperatures on the base unit has crept up to the display causing the liquid to rise or move back in place through the cracks.

(2) The cracks become straight due to the heat with the lid shut.

(3) Some wires or connections are loose somewhere but allows flow at a certain temperature.

(4) The display has slowly recovered everytime it was left on from the day it was damaged by the flashing lines or from number 2.

I better be careful not to shake or roughly hold it on my lap.

Well that was a disappointment. Sometimes I just expect too much.
