with the recent virginia tech massacre, it has dawned upon me (and others from what ive learned on the internet) that it seems too obvious that the month of april seems to garner much violence.

what exactly is it about april that fosters so much hatred and violence? surely, its not the month itself. I will admit, I get kind of annoyed when I owe taxes, but not to the extent I would want to take someone's soul over it.

here is an interesting site I found online: http://jerrythegeek.blogspot.com/

and here is some interesting excerpts from that site:.....

Since the Columbine massacre (April 20, 1999), the Oklahoma City Bombing (April, 19, 1995), the Waco (April 19, 1993) outrages, the month of April has been a continuing April festival of horror. And I for one am sick of it.

We are all disgusted by this annual rage of violence and slaughter of the innocents, and we all look for a solution to this distinctive American sickness.

But, what is it about the month of April which leads to such a death toll?[size=4]

April Massacres didn't happen just in America:

April 18, 1995: The Kibeho Tragedy (Rwanda, Africa) - 2000 people massacred in a Rwandan refugee camp.

April 9, 1986: Tblisi, Georgia (the country, not the state) - an Anti-Soviet demonstration leads to a violent 'dispersal' by the Soviet Army, leading to 20 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

April 26, 1986 - The Chernobyl Tragedy.

The deliberate massacres, however, seem (per OKC and Columbine) to be based on Hitler's Birthday: April 20.
Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

The "OMG HITLERS BIRFDAYZ!!!!11!!" shit gets thrown around too much. Like every time something bad happens on or around April 20 everyone has to link it to fucking Hitler.
We get it.
Hitler was bad news.
That doesn't mean that two kids killed a bunch of people at school because of him. I'm sure they didn't go "So when're we gonna do this thing?"
"I dunno...Hitler's birthday?"
"Yes! Because we LOVE Hitler!"
"Exactly!"

Wow, it's so early in the day and you're already making me laugh like this. laugh.gif

Get your statistics straight and search Wikipedia for how many atrocities the other months can come up with.

If I'd guess, I'd say that you're trying to practice for becoming a writer for MSN.com. Other than that, I don't really get what you're trying to achieve here.

Atrocity cares not for time or place, except of course, in the sense that it can't really happen in the middle of nowhere by definition, since it requires a subject.

Even though I see the pattern The World Trade Centers got bombed in September. Maybe there is a pattern for two coincidental incidents in February.

Oh Snap!
Gobbly got you!!!! happy.gif

But for what it's worth i also noticed
that alot of bad things happen in April

Naturally my Catholic high school
Religion Teacher sums it all up to the fact that

the Death and Resurrection of Jesus
occurs in April.....

Thus the rest of humanity
will FOREVER be cursed....

and left to deal with
an April tradgedy

every few years
To remind the world of it's evil

Don't forget who's the boss
Seriously though,

VTech was beyond believable
and i can't begin to understand it

... oh.

I'm afraid I can't continue to debate this with you any further, seeing as you've just crossed an important line in regards to a minimum of common sense and humanity.

September:

The Great Fire of London
The first V2 flying bombs kill 3 people in London
WWII
Earthquake destroys Ferdows Persia, 2,000 killed
Train accident at Zagreb Yugoslavia, 121 killed
74-year-old Hafnia Hotel burns, killing 35 (Copenhagen, Denmark)
India and Pakistan border fights
12,000 die in an earthquake in western Iran
Excursion train crashed into a ravine killing 175, injuring 400
Hitler orders extermination of mentally ill
Mussolini cancels civil rights of Italian Jews
7.9 earthquake strikes Tokyo and Yokohama, kills 142,000

That's just a short handful.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Princesskadee, anything you can name has nothing - NOTHING - on WWII.

Plus, I'd imagine these days if you asked any random person how "4-20" was significant, most people's first answer would be related to marijuana, not Hitler.
