i recently bought konami's collectors edition of a compilation of 5 outstanding classic titles for PC: Contra, super contra, castlevania I, II, & III,..and i am wondering why Konami chose to restrict this release to just pc?

i would have loved to see this released for Ps2 and xbox, and its a shame it wasnt. so here i am playing these treasured classics on my pc,..using awkward keyboard controls,.like X,Z, space bar, delete and control. im really not sure who decided to hype pc games, but frankly they just dont compare to console releases when it comes to the fluidness of control. and even if you invest about $50.00 or so just to get a usb game controller for your computer..it never is the same as the tight control experience you get with a console release of the same game.

why konami? why? ....why isnt this compilation released for consoles???

a ) $50 for a gamepad!? Where the hell do YOU shop? I can name three locations within walking distance of my house where I can get TWO for that price.

b ) It's probable that PS2 and Xbox development is all but dead. I know there are still some PS2 titles in the pipelines, but the Xbox 360 has been out for a year now. The first generation Xbox is dead.

c ) If you want to play Contra on the PS2, there IS a Contra game that was released for it a few years back that, as I recall, was a direct throwback to the old side-scrollers (ie: it was 2D, side scrolling, and hard as all hell). Also, if I recall correctly, weren't the old Castlevania games unlockable in one of the PS2 titles?
