I'm um... sorry I missed that the first time round. Actually, that was a very good effort too. You did a nice job of representing Fidel Castro with that, shall we say, cigar.

PS: Maybe she rented from Blofeld?

Ah, I guess that could work.

Anyway, it looks like all is well again. And if an appropriate plot juncture should arise later in this thing, I might put your panel in somewhere... then I could draw Cynthia's bosoms underwater. cool.gif

Also, nice to see you in the Screening Room, Civilian - even if it was just to break up a fight.

Okay. On with the show...

I had a brainwave today, fellas, so I've decided to advance the plot -- without violence, and without reference to Messrs. Bond, Blofeld, and Hans, of course. wink.gif

So, here you are:

Ah you beat me to it. Here's what I was working on:

Admittedly, a desperate attempt to end this storyline and hop in on the next one. Anyway ... on with the story.

PS: Enough with the James Bond references, ok?

Civilian, that is amazing! You could enter that in an art contest. I had no idea you were such an artist. How long did it take to make that?

And Bond, good to see you've stopped trying to kill off one of the three central characters. Also, good to see you making your own drawings. See? You're better at it than you thought, hey?

However, I can't believe that you made yet another Bond reference. No more. Ever.

As of now, it is an official rule -> NO REFERENCES TO BOND MOVIES.

Okay, here's my panel for the day -

Although, I wonder if perhaps I should have just let it end with your panel, Civilian.

Hard to say. On the one hand, we were originally planning for an ongoing series - but on the other, maybe it'd be better to just wrap it up. I'm easy.

Token Jab: YOU ARE GOING TO SNAP HER SPINE!

And you have my full agreement, there - no more James Bond references ever, ever, ever again.

EVER. Or I start electrocuting you with the bathtub and the toaster.

And now, I must go back to bed and figure out a way to snatch this.

I worked on that for a few hours. I cheated as well; I pasted in a picture for dimensions, since I suck at vanishing lines and all that, and then drew over the top of it. A surprising side effect was that when I saved the final picture, MSPaint addded subtle detail to the colours, more than what I'd achieved with the "airbrush" tool and a great deal of 800% scale pixel-painting. So there was something coded in to that original picture that I'd pasted in, even if you can't see it anymore. The lesson learned, and I was really hesitant about posting the thing as a result but did anyway after Bond had made it redundant, is that I won't be pasting pictures under my drawings anymore. I now have to learn how to get that colour effect using only the toolbar. I never would have guessed that at any time in my life I'd find myself reading the Help topics for MSPaint....

So: I suppose Jane will answer this with her next panel, but what's going on? Are we going to see a story involving the aliens, will we delve into Jenkins' treasure, is Cynthia going to bust right out of her top (shame shame) or WHAT??? We seem to have three possible threads right now (although of course mine's not really much of a thread, but a reaction to what I felt was a loss of interest).

I guess we'll see what Jane comes up with.

Did you save your file as a .jpeg image, Civilian? Because that might explain the subtle detail. When you save something as a .jpeg file, PAINT will corrupt the image by blurring heaps of pixels and altering colours. It also makes it impossible to work with the picture once you're finished with it because you can't do colour fills anymore and things like that.

To get around the problem, I always save things as .PNG files, which leaves them nice and pristine. They're larger files naturally but they look better. However, in this case, the corrupting of the image seemed to work in your favour.

And yes, I wonder where the plot will go next?

PS - Don't worry, Jane. Cynthia has a nice strong back. She'll be fine.

Dude, my entry in JM's contest was totally the best. SadPenis for the win. But I'm not going to provide a link...

I have to admit I'm kinda losing my interest in this storyline; so unless something grabs my attention I'll just watch for a while.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I'm still enjoying seeing everyone else's. But I don't feel the urge to contribute. I especially liked your Twister panel, Janey. smile.gif

Jane, do a good one. wink.gif

MG, for a while now, I've had a certain scenario in my head:

Trent and Jenkins in a car, chatting by the side of the road, when suddenly, a black limosine races past, carrying Wilkins in a neck brace and Cynthia with a big-*ss machine gun. She points it at our heroes, blasts a couple of bullets at them, and the limo goes screeching over the bend.

Trent gets up, mutters "Wilkins", and walks over to the car door and gets in. He turns to his friend and says "Jenkins, it's Wil--", only to be greeted with the sight of a smoking hole in Jenkins' forehead.

As a nearby alien walks up to the car, Trent pulls his friend's body onto his lap and begins caressing it. Noticing the alien, our lone hero says, "It's all right. It's quite all right, really. He's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see. We have all the time in the world." After a moment, he collapses crying, and we then see a caption:

TRENT AND JENKINS
WILL RETURN IN
DIAMONDS AREN'T FOREVER

I know, it's violent, and it has a Bond reference, but it's been stuck in my head ever since I first wondered what Wilkins would do for revenge. Also, it's a pretty decent conclusion.

Argh.

Bond, no, that's not cool. I'd have a hard time imagining any circle of people wherein such a lame, literal citation of pop culture might be considered cool. No wait: the entire crowd that made and watched those SCARY MOVIE/DATE MOVIE/EPIC MOVIE/ETC MOVIE shitbricks. You don't want to be one of those idiots, I hope.

Anyway, I shouldn't speak ill of the dead, since after all Bond is now dead. Jane killed him:

I'd say he deserved a eulogy or something, but fuck him. He can't say he didn't see it coming. Well he can't say it of course because he's dead. I suppose the least I could do would be to give him his Bond reference after all.

"Shocking."

PS: Jane, I was tempted to give you some real hooters, New Orleans style, but I'm shit at drawing symmetrical boobs. Maybe one of these days we can put MG on the job.

PPS: He had really ugly curtains too.

EDIT: Can't believe I forgot to colour the tub foot.

BRAVO! And the toaster was a Malaysian Fighting Toaster too! Extra kudos!

And Bond... DIG UP!

Seriously, how could you possibly still be thinking along those lines after everything we've been telling you?!

By the numbers: Cynthia is not some evil bitch from hell. I don't know why you think that but if you review the comic, you should be able to see that she's part of the gang. I actually explicitly stated 'trio of heroes' in reference to her, Trent and Jenkins. And you'll also see that they are now good friends, evidenced by smiles, friendly exchanges and Twister.

Two - Killing off Jenkins would be completely out of whack with the rest of the comic.

Three - WE ARE SICK TO DEATH OF YOUR GODDAMN BOND REFERENCES! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TAKE THE HINT!

Thank you.

Sorry for double-posting... but I've suddenly realised that Civilian's latest panel is a brilliant way to end the comic, especially since Bond has pretty much killed the whole thing. He's certainly dampened my enthusiasm for it... as well as killing my enthusiasm for the Bond films too. Actually, just the name 'Bond' makes me cringe now. It's going to be a while before I'll be able to watch any of my favourite... damn... can't even type the name anymore... 007 movies. Arghhhhh....
