what was the hardest game youve ever played? console or pc game? tell us about that game that used to taunt you for hours on end. that game that made you take the cartridge out of the console slot, smack it around a couple of times and scold it before putting it back in. that game that made you throw your controller and empty beer bottles at your tv.

Starcraft: Brood War. 8th mission of the Zerg campaign. I don't know how much I tried, but the computer always kept exterminating me with its huge armada even before I got the chance to destroy the enemy bases on my island. My second toughest game is probably Warcraft 3, on Difficult difficulty level. The last undead mission lefts me completly drained that I didn't have the energy to begin the Orc campaign.

Trauma Center - Under the Knife. One of the later missions where you have to help 10 patients in 5 minutes (or 5 patients in 10 minutes, I forget. lol) is impossible to do. My little sister did it, but I can't do it for the life of me. How sad is that? lol.
It sits in my DS case, mocking me.

Is Ghouls and Ghosts the one where you're King Arthur and you run around in the graveyard? Because yeah, that one. Also a couple of the MegaMan titles. Those were serious bitches.

hardest game: huh,...try Robocop for either NES or Gameboy
you get one life,.and the first level is a bitch to get thru with everyone shooting at you from front, behind, and up from windows. The bad part is your moving slower than a tortoise. All you can do is shoot and jump. (when did Robocop ever jump in the movies???)

Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

Contra 3 is a bitch on SNES but with an emulator with an instant save/load ability it gets much easier.
Hear, hear. Without that, those levels with the top-down view would've eaten me alive.

contra 3: The alien wars?
Its easy, except for the last level, where youre fighting inside the alien's belly.
the top-down levels are easy. get the "S" gun, or the "H" gun and just fire like mad,.sometimes it helps if you do the spin and brandish both guns blazing away.
The top-down desert level is a bit harder than the top-down street level is. Make sure you pause frequently and reference your map to see where you are and where you need to head to. This is especially important in the desert level where they have those thin, narrow bridges.
On boss monsters, use the hydrogen bombs frequently. It also helps a lot if youre in possession of a "C" gun when fighting them.
On the level that starts out where youre on the motorcycles, drive your motorcycle to the far right of the screen and stay there! Now position your gun towards the sky and start firing away!! As soon as the enemies appear out of the right, you will kill them all with your gun...you will also get many, many extra lifes doing this!
On the first level, it helps if you have the "H" gun, especially true as everyone is coming at you from all directions. When you see the tanks, get inside of them,.it renders you being invincible for a short time.
Now, I havent beat this game, to this day because the last level is so damn hard. Contra III is one of my favorite games for the SNES, and it was an impressive feat when it was released for a 16-bit system.
