Didn't find a thread about this, so i fig ured I'd make one. This, along with 300 and PotC 3 is going to be one of my most ampicitated films to see in theaters. I simply can't wait. im even much more excited now that it's going to center more around Venom then the earlier trailers would have led you to believe. I just saw the most recent one from the 23rd, and it looks great.

Oh hell yes! Okay, okay, alright, I know many people will hate this just like the hated the other movies, and I kinda think I know what's putting them off, but I'll be damned if I start nitpicking that stuff, too. I really like where this is going, some new enemy, some new drama, yeah... now don't they dare disappoint me. pirate.gif

if the next installment of pirates of the carribean beats spidey 3 in sales...i am going to be upset,.i am going to be very, very upset.

words can not express how upset i will be.
Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

My sentiments exactly. How I loathed the load of bull they produced with PotC 2...

The first was crap (although I didn't notice it back then because I was 13), the second was significantly better, so maybe the third will be a true masterpiece. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Although, I still haven't got over the plot twist about Sandman killing Ben. I know it goes along with the movie's theme and so on, but such a huge change just doesn't feel right. It's like they made Batman a psycho who fights crime by welding puppies into the bad guys' faces.

It does undermine the event the made parker spiderman in the first place, but it plays a big part in him taking revenge, and the black suit finding him. It is attracted to his rage for killing sandman.

That put me off a little, too... dunno how they want to explain that (don't even know why it's necessary to explain something like that, gives the whole thing just some kind of Star Wars feeling... sad.gif )... well, let's wait and see...

Anybody else think Toby Mguire's voice sounds like the cliche children's video game superhero voice?

"He killed my uncle, and he's still out there!!!"

"I'm gonna get you!"

not to mention, all of the smartass comments he makes while fighting villains.

its a cliche film, and sam raimi has become a sort of cliche director. marvel has become cliche. when it comes to money and films, you sort of strive for a cliche as it tends to be what many think classics are built on.

classic cliche line: I got a bad feeling about this

Mireaux: I groan every time I hear that line.

I think it's really stupid and lame that they've decided to try to retcon Sandman killing Pete's uncle, when the entire reason he decided to fight crime was because he at first let his uncle's killer go because he was bitter about his life. It kills the delicious superhero origin irony completely. There are five million different ways the symbiote could locate Spidey. However, there is the OMFG Venom factor. Which of course is tempered by the fact that Eric Foreman is for whatever reason playing Eddie Brock. So I feel ~ about this overall.

They need to follow the comic books, that's all I ask. But of course, no one wants to do that - even that stupid Teenage Superman show with that cute guy on the WB decided that killing off Clark's dad would add drama? WTF? No one can stick with the original story anymore, and that makes me sad.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Funny, hollywood can't be original anyways, when they do, it usually crashes and burns. everything is a darn sequel or remake.

But Clark's dad always dies. Personally, I'm glad I decided to watch that show.

But I'm not familiar with the venom storyline, or the changing of the origin story. If that's what you were referring to Gobbler, I suppose Peter Parker's Virgin Mother will show up at one point or another.

MJ is ten years older than Peter, and has been madly in love with him since he was a widdle boy.
