Snoopaloop: David Bowie is getting pretty old now, but he was pretty damned hot when he was younger, which is really saying something, since I'm a straight guy and don't often notice the attractiveness factor on other guys. You don't know what you're talking about.

Have you seen him lately? He still looks good.

Just saw it... I agree with all the other stuff said about it. tongue.gif However, I have one thing to add: The beginning! Did no one else notice how atrocious it was? All the little clips and stills from the previous two movies, chopped up jagged to fit cutely in little web holes? I felt like I was watching an amateur's tribute film.

laugh.gif
Its funny you mention that
'cuz i alllways felt the openning sequences
in Spidey 1 & 2 were waaaay too long.

The little trip down memory in Spidey 2 was acceptable
but in the third it was very, ummm...dry.
That whole thing is so played out

in my opinon if you haven't seen the
first 2 or know nothing about the story
(which i find hard to believe)
then you have no buisness complaining
or waiting for a little flashback.

but yes i completely agree....
those clips are just one of the
few things that slipped by in
comparasion to other folies

In the scene where Peter Parker is on the pay phone, and Ursula is standing alongside him feeding him warm baked cookies....

..right after this scene, is the scene where Parker is dancing outside and some music is playing. He is dancing outside on the sidewalk and people are passing him giving him weird looks.

Not the very first person, but the 2nd person who gives him a weird look is a friend of one of my best friends, she's a slender young asian female who has modeled for JC Penney and Montgomery Wards.

Just wanted to throw that little tidbit in there.
Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

He basically threw every insult the critics and disappointed fans threw at his Star Wars prequels at Spider-Man 3, calling it "silly" and saying it had no plot, no depth, did not amount to anything, while insisting that his films, with their Jar Jar Binks's and what not, are not silly. Basically, just a sign of Lucas being angry and bitter at how in the past the Spider-Man films got more love than his Star Wars prequels.

I finally saw it today. I really wanted to walk out several times, once in the first few minutes. So, yeah, I grimaced too. I also chuckled.

I missed the comic book opening and didn't stay for all of the closing credits. It's hard to say that the collective work by so many fine artists is a work that sucks. I'll say it kinda sucked.

I liked the MASK sequence, big daddy.

Well, I wasnt sure if I was going to go to the theater to see it or not, but I have a feeling that I'll be saving my money for Pirates 3 and just waiting for Spiderman 3 to come out on HBO. Thanks for all your help guys - you've made a difference in the world.

Well can you blame him
the special effects were
probably done by ILM and the
music done at Skywalker Sound.
He contributed to the success and now he suffers

Despondent if you trust anything in
your time spent on this earth
trust this you missed NOTHING
with that comic book opening
i actually want those minutes back

As for you Abbey, please wait for HBO
or better yet wait for some sad eager aquintance
to rent it, bring it over and torture you for nearly 3 hours.

Well I LIKED the comic book opening in one and two. When I saw the credits for three; it was like when Lost in Space (the tv show) went to the crazy video run down of the cast (a major change) for season three, and I saw that for the first time.

the classic paintings they used before were Great! So much better than the little video they presented this time. I'm not certain what you mean, TruJade.

Actually, in one article at Comingsoon.net, it states Lucas and ILM did not do the special effects or lighting. I don't know why Lucas would say it was silly regardless. I think he is mad because the series has done better and gained better recognition than his films. Nothing will replace Star Wars but to lash out at a series because it is doing good or out of jealousy is just stupid. I thought Spider-man 3 was decent. Too many plots but I'll add it to my collection. It is still better than half of the movies they have came out with in the last year (except maybe 300) and definetely better than that whine fest Episode III "You're breaking my heart Anakin" and "I've got the high ground Annie." That was silly!!!
