Not that it wasn't funny, I laughed my head off, but it's still a bit scary.

Then again, Trilby's Notes was scary, too.

I personally can't imagine how people fancied Lara Croft.

Same here, all I ever thought of was "Boy, she's gonna have some back aches when she's old..."

"I refuse to divulge anything about the games I'm currently working on..."

Oops, you just did. Games is plural here, so now we know you are working on more than one game.

Unless, of course, you are being misleading with that little s...

In which case, I see what you did there.

I think you're supposed to interpret that sentence like this: "I refuse to divulge anything about any kind of game(s) I may or may not be working on." wink.gif

Didn't Yahtzee once said that he was always working on several games at the same time, but only a few managed to keep him motivated enough for him to complete them? If so, then "game" would in this case be more precise than "games", no? But maybe I hallucinated all this.

Wouldn't he have phrased it that way if that is how he meant it?

Not if he's feeling lazy.

You could always take things for what they literally say, rather than looking for some hidden meaning.

I hate to break it to you, but that's exactly what I was doing. You and David are the ones assuming "games" means anything but "games".

I think you misunderstood me, I just meant that "games" didn't necessarily entail Yahtzee working on multiple AGS projects (though he may be), but that he might have been referring to his oath that he never tells us about games he makes until they're 99.9% finished. So the word "games" refers to the projects in general, not necessarily the ones currently in development.

Whew, that's like something Deepsycher would write, I hope you're with me. smile.gif If not, nevermind.

Now THAT makes sense, David.

Thanks for clearing it up.

My point is still semi-valid though: we DO know that he is currently working on something.

Great, great... what say ye, wouldn't it be best if all of you met again fifty years later to assemble your notions in a loose collection of tomes? It's been done before and is even nowadays the most popular book of all time.

But we already knew He is working on something. Even if he's not physically doing anything he's cooking up something in his mind. - Book of Prodian (2:5)

Let me try to follow you David:

So you're thinking that Yahtzee was just saying "I'm not going to reveal anything as I do not mention anything about any games in progress until it is almost complete." and not "I'm not going to reveal anything about the games I'm working on right now."

What is that meant to imply?

With ph34r.gif I meant that while I was writing my answer to a previous post, you were quick like a ninja and posted in-between the two.
Anyway, all I said that since Yahtzee used plural form of "game", I thought he was speaking in general terms. But nevermind.
