$29.99? See, the clerk was right not to sell it to you.

that was sports authority's price princesskadee found,..not walmart's, which should be lower for the same item.

with that being said, im sure her offer of $20.00, would have met what the item was listed at in walmart

Walmart's color scheme bothers me. Something about the bright white floors and florescent light accented by the navy blue makes me not want to shop. That and they have a weird smell to them.

One of the (few) things I disliked in the US was the ridiculous amount of crap you could buy at stores like K-mart and Walmart and [Whatever]mart.

Even as a child, I distinctly remember the sour taste I had whenver I got a toy from K-mart. Cheap plastic, cheap labor, made in China. ETA to breakdown: 0.7 days.

Unfortunatelly, this kind of selling model (ie. huge retail chains selling useless junk at low prices) has caught on in Europe aswell, but to this day, the memories I have about the US is plagued with bad shopping decisions at K-mart.

(Ok, so this topic was about WalMart, but Walmart wasn't such a big fuss when I was there, and technically it's the same thing as K-mart)
I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant.

i have to admit, i have been finding some great deals in walmarts $5.00 dvd bargain bin lately:

The Running Man-special edition
The Doors-Special edition
Escape from New York-special edition
all three rambo movies

yeah, i know most of the films in the bin are crap, but there are a few jewels to be found sometimes.

I remember seeing Casper in a Wal-Mart bargain bin. Such a shame... sad.gif
