Look, I catch hell for this all the time, but I HATE Tech Live. (I also hate Unscrewed, but I guess I can see its appeal.) I might not hate Tech Live as much if I ever saw it live, but they show it in rerun ALL THE TIME, when it should be called "Tech Lame." Also, even when it's close to live (let us say a week old), the news stories are never fresh and insightful--they are stories I have read in my local paper, have seen on tv, or found on people's blogs. In short, they are old and not newsworthy, and Screen Savers and even CNN covers them better.

I can't really mourn Tech Live. It was already dead.

I agree with you in many respects. I usually already know about what they're mentioning. And have you noticed that they're re-showing stories on the newer ones from LAST summer? They showed that Q-grill thing again, and didn't edit out the "not available in stores yet" bit, even though it IS available in stores. Tech TV SHOWS THE ADS FOR IT. They also showed that dumb glucose monitor for the GBA again. I hate that thing.

And Nate, what's wrong with Sarah? She's loveably wacky. Granted, she's not as overbearingly cute as Jessica, but I have nothing against her.

Good news for us Canadian viewers:

"I'm very happy to report that I've agreed to host a daily show for G4/TechTV Canada starting later this summer. We'll produce the show here in Toronto. I'll fly up one week a month to shoot. It looks like the format will be very similar to Call for Help, and, yes, we'll be taking calls. Once we get the web site up and running there will be a place for you to submit your questions as before."

Are you kidding? I'm practically already on my way! cool.gif

Seriously, though, I'd really like to contact them and see if a visit/tour would be possible.

I think this was worth bumping the thread:

"A New Co-Host –
We begged, we pleaded, but getting hitched is a huge step for Patrick. He wanted to take some time to enjoy the married life, so we're on the hunt for a new co-host. The plan is to have someone nailed down within the next month or so, please stay tuned! Once Pat turned us down, his phone was blowing up with offers, so expect to see him writing for some of your favorite tech publications in the coming months. I also made him promise to come back and say hi every once in a while."

Taken from kevinrose.com regarding the Screen Savers move to LA.
