So, watching ANH, and I just noticed C3P0 mentioning his first job was programing binary loadlifters, very similiar to your (Owen's) moisture vaporators. I submit that nowhere in TPM or any other films was a binary load lifter ever mentioned. Any prequelists want to take this on?

Ah yes, the "Jesus christ we fucked up lets randomly erase the droids memory at the end of ep3" fix... Still I must point out that if the prequels saught to provide a backstory and character development its a bit silly for them to have just wiped it all out. It would have been pretty funny if they'd done that to everyone at the end of ep 3 and would explain the [merciful] absence of midiclorians from the holy trinity.

I guess we should believe then that not only was Threepio's mind wiped (but his personality retained), but also he had a FALSE HISTORY programmed into him!
Presumably the rest of the characters "sensed through the Force" a made up reality, in which the Prequels didn't happen, and mind tricked themselves into believing it instead of the prequels.
Or maybe the prequels were just a bad dream, the result of somebody's "root leaf" addled imaginings long after the fact.
