Timezones!

Timezones are currently irritating me. I mean all the fun keeps happening around here while I'm tucked up in bed. Yes, sure I could stay up all night and then be a complete zombie at work (ahh the zombie march relived perhaps) but seriously! If we just abolish timezones you could all be awake when I am and that would be grand indeed! biggrin.gif

I hate when I am inside of a building, whether it be a shopping mall, office building, hospital,..whatever..and a group of people decide to congregate and converse in a major walkway that blocks pedestrian traffic

TAKE THAT CONVERSATION TO A NEARBY MEETING ROOM!..sit down in some chairs..something..dont hold up people trying to walk by and get somewhere with your conversation like that!

Peter Brady was by far the ugliest Brady kid on the "Brady Bunch". I mean, they were all pretty ugly, and the fact that the Brady dad wanted to always take the boys out on overnight camping trips just a tad bit too often, gave me the creeps.

I don't like it when people smoke near me, as that gets me hacking up a storm... angry.gif

(That's me exhaling smoke near you. Why? Because I can.)
In all fairness though, I'm pretty considerate of non-smokers. I do my best to stay out of their way when I smoke in public. An example being that if I'm waiting for the bus, I stand about ten to fifteen feet away, and so that the wind won't blow the smoke back in their direction.

I really hate it when someone has a word or phrase that they say CONSTANTLY. For instance, one of my past art history professors would always say "consequently." "This painting is done in the impressionist style, consequently, we can discern that it was most likely painted in the Impressionist period. Consequently, we can tell by the colors used that it was probably done by Renoir, consequently, who used less naturalistic colors to achieve his affects consequently. He consequently would use lots of pinks and purples in his shadows, which consequently would give the effect of a sunrise. Consequently." It didn't always even make sense where he'd put the word.

Sometimes it's even a whole phrase that someone has, like when someone uses the phrase "I don't know" instead of "um." "So, I dunno, he like, I dunno, cheated on her or something I dunno, and so like, I dunno, she's like, I dunno, angry."

Also, the sucking your teeth noise - "tsk" or whatever. Once in a while is fine, but when it's every time one pauses when talking (I usually hear this from people having to give a presentation or lecture opposed to just conversation) it drives me nuts.

I probably even do this. If someone ever would point it out to me though, I'd cut it quick.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

I'm guilty of that, Spoon. I say "I dunno" and "Like" a lot, as a habit. Oh! And "Umm..." that's a bad one too... but only in conversation! If I'm doing a presentation or something I avoid it at all costs.

I hate it when you're walking on a sidewalk about to cross the street at a corner, when some smartass in a car drives up to make a turn, and goes all the way past the sidewalk and sticks their nose out in the road they're turning into. Like -- hello? It gets some pedestrians confused and angry, not sure where to walk and going behind the smart one's car, or in front almost on the road.

I usually just walk behind the car, but it's so annoying... sad.gif

An irritating pattern I noticed. When I am trying to cross the road, the drivers on the lane I am waiting to cross would slow right down which is rather stupid because they are too near but the other lane would be set at a faster speed so I have no chance or crossing. When the last lane is free it is so annoying to wait for drivers so near who deliberately slow down as if I was going to run across and after they are gone the last lane is busy again. After the last lane is free the lane I am trying to cross is busy with people who slow down for me. Sometimes I wait five minutes to cross so what I have to do is stand back away so they don't see me trying to cross and slow down. I go staight across in under in seconds when they don't see me.

Well, I try not to mind the smoke, but then I start feeling sorry for the person, as they're usually going to contract lung cancer and emphysema 10 to 20 years down the road. sleep.gif

Anna is a very popular girl. it seems like lots of people are referring to lovely Anna when they speak:...

"Im going to the store...An-nuh..Im gonna get some bread,.an-nuh..some milk..an-nuh..some eggs..an-nuh...some bacon,.some steak....an-nuh..some beer."

hey bond..how come your post count only shows 49..everyone knows its higher than that.

Pet peeve: When someone always has to get a word in, even when it contributes nothing to the conversation/discussion/whatever. Also, people who have to dominate every conversation/discussion.

Also, people who tell the same story more than once or even twice. With one person in particular it's gotten so bad I've long been past smiling politely and acting like I haven't heard it before - I cut him off and say, "This is the 14th time you've told me this." It seems mean but what else can I do? Nothing new comes out of this person's mouth, it seems.

Hope you are not meaning me, if it is that is rude. I can easily change subjects but I do change my wording around if I think it is misunderstood.

Post 55?

Joke: Probably Chefelf or some miserable old man with amputated legs that said to me "lay off these posts please" or "can you lay off these posts", "it is wildly annoying."

Oh I am sorry bond:

I just noticed the group "limited members."
I didn't even know that group existed.
Probably custom.

Are you sure it was Carlos 9?

No, I was not talking about you, Dee.

And yes, Bond has been limited a bit, and it was Carlos9. But this is not the place for that discussion.

Perhaps another discussion could be made, then... sleep.gif

Put it to the vote, perhaps? blushing.gif
