The whispers in 5DAS, the whispers in Trilby's Notes, the asthmatic breathing in 6DAS... I thought you owned the SEs, Dávid-san?

Pop quiz, hotshot. Garry Kasparov is coming to kill you, and the only way to change his mind is for you to beat him at chess. What do you do, what do you do?

Just wanted to add my congratulations, as well. Has Yahtzee won the lifetime achievement award yet? If not, what are they waiting for? You almost can't talk about AGS without talking about him.

And I like the quote in the transcript as well:

"I'd like to thank Yahtzee for not winning this award"

It made me giggle.
My Let's Play of I Wanna Be The Guy! Do you have the balls?

Well, come on, he's got a lot of lifetime to go... even relative to game designers.

Congratulations to Mr Croshaw, who has now has 43 AGS Awards nominations, won 11 AGS Awards and is the only person to have been nominated EVERY year of the AGS Awards.
---
Heh, we could report this to Guiness World Records. I mean, these days, EVERYTHING is a Guiness World Record.

According to the "I have no life" department, he has 44 nominations and 15 wins. I think he's also the only person to have games nominated every year they've had awards, and the only person to have 'Best Game' twice. (Ooooh.)

2001 : Rob Blanc 3 - 4 nominations, 0 wins
2002 : Odysseus Kent - 7 nominations, 1 win
2003 : 5DAS - 11 nominations, 5 wins (incl. best game)
2004 : 7DAS - 9 nominations, 2 wins
2005 : GFW - 2 nominations, 2 wins

Because you really didn't want to know.

Yes, sorry, 11 was wrong, he's won 15, but where is 44 from? I make it 43.

Ahh, didn't know that was there - would've saved me some time.
I counted 11 nominations in '06 (10 for TN, 1 for 1213), but I could've missed something.
Signatures are overrated.

Only likely to be won if he's an active member of the community I'm afraid, which he isn't.

That's a rather stupid rule, isn't it? I mean, it's AGS Awards, not AGS Forums Awards, right?

But don't mind me, I'm prolly just too much of a fanboy here.

Edit: Wait, there is already something like that AGS Forums Awards, if I remember correctly. So where's the problem?

I think that's silly. If it's a popularity/who-talked-to-us-the-most award, then why not name it the Social/Who-Talked-To-Us-The-Most (or Social/WTTUTM) Award? The name of the award is "Lifetime Achievement" though... and nobody can deny that Yahtzee has achieved more with AGS in a few short years than most people will achieve in their lifetime.

I've never been given the Lifetime Achievement one, though. I suspect this is because I am black.

I think this makes about as much sense as the not-spending-enough-time-on-our-forums reason.

Here's to 6DAS getting awards - that would be each of his Chzo Mythos getting awards, right?

Your optometrist called. He gave you the wrong prescription.

P.S. -- Trilby's Notes won the awards.
