Well sure! The one that I've found works excellently is a phpbb mod that disables the website and signature fields during signup, and (optionally) bans people who fill things into them (it's safe for humans - humans cannot access those forms to fill them in). That one can be downloaded from the phpbb website (here), and more info could probably be found through a google search.
