Right, so the DeFoe series is finished.

What's next?

Will this be the end of Yahtzee's freeware game making career?
Or will he make a sequel to an existing game?
Or will he make something totally new?

I'm scared... crying.gif What if this is the end?

(Personally, I'm hoping for a continuation of GFW or possibly a game set in that universe...)

I can only answer your first question, with "probably not." Any further questions would need to go by Yahtzee, who would say "fuck off, I need to recover. And stab your eyeballs." Since he's just released this one and all, and probably needs time to recover ebfore even thinking of what he;s doing next. Right?

Well, the latter three games of the X Days series have something in common with Adventures in the Galaxy of Fantabulous Wonderment: they both built upon an older game or series of games of less quality (in the X Days series' case, 5 Days, and in Galaxy's case, the Rob Blanc trilogy) and fleshed out their stories, concepts and worlds. Yahtzee seems to like doing this and he always seems to do it well. I'm thinking that the next time he does such a game or series he'll either actually show us what the World of Magick is like in a game at least mostly unrelated to the X Days storyline (all we've seen of that world are some of the nastier bits, but he's said on the forums that it's not all bad), or... Odysseus Kent, anyone?

I would love it if the speakers and internal speaker didn't go berserk everytime I moved the mouse cursor when I tried that game.

I'm betting there will be another X Days game, but that's probably mainly just wishful thinking! tongue.gif

Actually, all of the XDAS series are nice and open-ended.
If you play them in the right order that is.
5DAS would have been an easy note to finish on.
So would 7DAS, because neither involve all the confusion with Chzo.
Trilby's Notes explained a lot of history, but didn't necessarily end with a plot that still needed resolving.
6DAS is very open-ended because it clearly states: "Nothing happened." But things could still be added, if Yahtzee felt so inclined wink.gif
None of these are created for plot obligation, they're just made out of the goodness of Yahtzee's (blackened and evil) heart.
The several hundred people pressuring him to are also a help.

imo the way he made 6 days *SPOILERS*the end of the game seemed that the only way there could be a sequel with a point is killing the chzo, otherwise it would just be another person getting messed with rather than anything actually getting done.
