*potential spoiler for plot of 6DAS*
Yeah, but doesn't the caretaker say that the events of 6DAS occur because of whats happened in the 20th and 24th centuries, and echoes from both events collide on 22nd, so producing what happens in the game, or something like that? so if the stuff in 7DAS hadn't already happened (if that makes sense) then 6DAS equally wouldn't happen... or summat like that...
or am i making links in my head that aren't really there
*end of spoilers*

That's because of Chzo's perception of time is different from that of the humans, it sees timeline as a whole. It's like the difference between slowly sucking down a spaghetti or sticking your fork into the stuff, scooping all of it into a ball and scoffing it down in one go. Sorry, couldn't think of a more illustrative example.
Anyway, I think it was clear, read the cultists' notes about past-present-future you find somewhere in the complex and the one on top of the tarp at the end.

No. If you played in the POV of Chzo, you'd play it all at the same time. But I think it's redundant to debate about this tiny detail, suffice to say that the series should be played in the order in which they were released, because otherwise it doesn't make much sense, and there'd be huge spoilers (imagine playing 7das after the catharsis at the end of 6das).

Hmmm...good point.
Though, couldn't you play it in "Somerset" time?
5DAS, TN, 7DAS, travel back in time to 6DAS?
Was there anything in TN you didn't want to know before playing 7DAS...well...except that Trilby foudn the dead girl, rather than being told as the note says.

There absolutely was. In Notes, you find out that the cultists want John DeFoe destroyed -- body, mind and soul. Well, the House (which is his body) is already destroyed. The mind doesn't come until 6 Days, but 7 Days was all about the soul. Once you destroy it in the engine, the bridge is 2/3 complete.
That is something I definitely wouldn't want to know before playing 7 Days. Trilby intentionally destroyed the House, because he didn't know any better. Somerset destroyed the Soul, because he didn't know any better. And Dacabe was the only one to attempt to save one of John's aspects (even if only to save his own wretched life). But if I knew that destroying the soul is bad before 7 Days, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for me to destroy the Soul, now would it?
My Let's Play of I Wanna Be The Guy! Do you have the balls?
