Now that there are few leet-d00ds who got the SE perhaps they can answer me this: Is Trilby Somerset's ancestor, by any chance? Because that is what was implied to me at a few scenes.

I think the answer was a resounding "maybe."
I mean, there's not much more specific you can get without compromising what money Yahtzee makes off his work anyway - ironic, since Yahtzee said in one of the SEs that he hoped they would give us fuel for our discussions.
Arguments for would be Yahtzee's habitual decendants in his games. Arguments against is that it would involve Trilby having sex wiith a girl who would not be killed by a monster in the next five minutes, and the only girl Trilby ever mentioned dating reminded him of a door (but then, there's always cloning and artificial insemination, I guess).

In my opinion the game ought to have been set in the present day with Trilby as the main character. An older, slightly ravaged Trilby who would probably have to die at the end. Carrying on from the past in this way would have allowed a lot more dramatic impact.
You could have done better than this Yahtzee. But I'm still looking forward to your next offering. Also keep in mind that I'm holding you to a higher standard here than all other amateur and even a lot of professional game designers.

Now that'd be just cruel. Moreover, it'd be out of place.

I think the whole concept of Somerset as the Prince of Destiny was pretty cool. Everything else was just 'meh'. They - well, he - could have made Somerset's part practically as is (maybe with less cheap manga antics) yet had the bulk of the game played as Trilbs.

Maybe also one thing that 6DAS lacked was a real villain. DeFoe had become distant, kinda nonexistant in the plot, and besides, he was no longer any powerful enemy, as you knew that he was just a tiny henchman. There was no new enemy, like in TN there was the Tall Man. Back then, he was scary. He was a little bit of that too in 6DAS, but not so much. Okay, we get Chzo as being more centered on the plot, but let's look at what Chzo is: He's a pain god. Want to fight him? I wouldn't! You never knew what DeFoe was while he was still scary, so you couldn't know can you defeat him or not. You knew what Cabbie was, but you didn't know he was a lich. Right when Chzo started becoming a real threat, you knew he's a bloody god!
Anyways, I do personally hope that Yathz starts from a clean table and creates something new and mystic. It can't involve Trilbs, as that would take mystery away as we would know already what becomes of him in the future.

Surely there can be another game featuring Trilby, for he's a brilliant character everybody wants to know more about. Yet even more so, he's a secritive character, so the chances of us seeing such a game some day are rather thin. And of course, that game should best not have anything else than himself in common with the Chzo Mythos, since that's what we really already know about now.

So, what, you want Chris & Trilby: The Game?

But no, I do not explicitly want such a game - I'm not paying Mr. Yahtzee enough for requesting something like that and I'm certain that there are a lot of other characters who're equally interesting as Mr. Trilby, I leave that stuff to him. All I was saying is that there could be another game featuring Mr. Trilby.
... but then again, come to think about it, a Chris & Trilby game might prove itself useful for providing an end to the comic, don't cha think?

Don't you fear it would put Trilby's carreer as an actor to an end if he starred in something like Chris and Trilby after Trilby's Notes? I remember that XDAS movies actors thread, we don't want to give more ammunition to Ashton Kutcher, do you?
"Dude, where's the Cursed Ruby?"
As for more games with Trilby, he lived a defaultly interesting life as cat burglar and he's now in an agency that investigate on paranormal phenomenon. Add to this all the secrets around him that probably interest a lot of people and weren't revealed yet. Sorry if that deceive you, but the chances of seeing Trilby in another game are rather high.

Hehehe. But that was because she left him for the lead singer of The Doors, not because she looked like a door.
Hmm. I just checked Wikipedia and there was indeed a woman named Patricia who had a relationship with Jim Morrison. But if 5DAS takes place in 1994 or whatever, surely Trilby would be too young for any of what he says to be true? He would be about fifty...
