I've been receiving email updates from GL for some time, but today I threw up a little in my mouth and finally unsubscribed. Has anyone else received these emails? Tripe and gristle, dressed up as a meal fit for a king. An elected king, probably.

I really thought I could keep taking that crap as part of my infiltrating mission. But there's nowhere to comment disdain so I did the next best thing by clicking the unsubscribe button.

It helps to get away sometimes.

Here's some of the text. I had to drag it from the trash, I won't be getting anymore. But I can always visit starwars.com if I need a sugary overload.

When Hyperspace first launched in 2003, one of the most attention-getting features was Photoreceptor, a trove of rare and in some cases never-before-seen snapshots culled from the Lucasfilm Archives. That finite store was exhausted by the end of 2005, and the series went on hiatus. It now returns, with a special focus on imagery meant to end or stir age-old debates, illuminate confusing subjects, or shed light on rare details often caught in the shadows.

For instance, were stormtroopers actively involved in the construction of the second Death Star? What exactly do those mysterious Rebel ships look like in the fleet seen at the end of Empire? And did the original Emperor really have the eyes of a chimpanzee? These decades-long discussions will be given a fresh boost with some of the new Photoreceptor images to be posted in the coming weeks. This image series is currently exclusive to members of Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club, so if you're not a member, sign up here: http://www.starwars.com/fanclub
