Yeah, most executions are too quick for people to enjoy them, we need something more slow and painful.

Some people like to copy others for the sake of it even if it involves a simple concept of being hanged. Unfortunately for them they didn't pull out in time or had the sense not to do it apart from the traumatized ones who wanted to die.
Slow and painful?
I thought of some:
Stoning.
Making electros cute to him.
Baiting him to piranhas piece by piece.
Making him comfortable in a box with hungry snakes.
Drawn and slaughtered alive.
Slowly melt from the legs upwards in boiling led.
Send him to China to have parts of his body cut off slowly for auctioning alive.
Put him in a funeral box unconscious and bury. So when he wakes the experience will be enjoyed. For fast decomposition there needs to be flesh eating nibblers such as maggots. Nice and comfortable sitting on an ever moving cushion, at first.
Do these qualify?

In what way does an episode of Dr. Who have any similarity for the global suicide of 7 kids due to them watching a dictator being hung?
it adresses the broadcasting of televised executions and the impact it has upon a society.
(not the same impact as the good people of varos had only the one channel and a 'yes' button and 'no' button under their screens to vote who lives and dies, but you get the idea)
