Yes, we're all angry humans here.

What do you tend to do when you're angry? What are some memorable memonets that led you to resort to such actions?

I don't have many memories of actual game rage, though i know there is definately some in there.
I know of one instance where i was trying to beat Shin Akuma in World Tour Mode in Street Fighter Alpha 3... he just rocks your ass so fast it's infuriating.. i think that was where the bite marks on my PS1 controller came from, but i very well be wrong.
I hope i can think of more later...

This is a great topic

1: trying to beat my previous record at dolphin park on WAVE RACE 64
--- I never did beat my record, and am now convined that no one ever will. I got the highest score humanly possible

2: Final Fantasy X, battling Seymour on the mountain
---Again, I never beat this. He is impossbile to beat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3: Diablo 2: beating HELL diffuculty with my level 77 necromancer.
--- He was so powerful up and till Kurast in Hell. I could not beat those damn "faithful" and "sexton" creatures.

4: Super StarWars, for SNES. This game truely is the hardest game on the planet.
--- I could not pass the 3rd level

5: Star Fox 64, this game is not hard....BUT TOO FUCKING EASY
--- I bought the game, and 1 hour 30mins later, beat it. I had a fit. I never felt so cheated in my life

6: BlitzBall: Final Fantasy X
--- I have never played a game, so painful, so utterly frustrating in my entire life. The controls are such a headache. The logic of the game is total shit, the whole system...everything about it!!!! This game is by far the worst mini game, with in a game, ever devised by man.

thanks reader, that felt good to get off my chest

Aw man, WaveRace 64. Nothing made me puch doors quite like Mario 64 though. The Rainbow Ride level? Damn.

Hardest game ever is still Ghosts N' Goblins.

Show me a person that says they beat that game and I'll show you a liar.

I heard a tale from the thread i stole this from about a guy who cleared the game once over then realised he had to beat it AGAIN just to get some 'real' ending.

One particularily frustrating moment was playing Tekken3 with this guy who would always use True Ogre and do that stupid 'fly in the air and breath fire on you' strategy. Eventually i got used to it, but there were some battles where controllers would be tossed about.

Jordan, at Seymour on the top of the mountain, you gotta be really leveled up, AND have all the characters (plus Aeons) with their overdrives maxed. I just survived it, but that was because I rushed through the game and gained no experience...

Hey, and in that G & G article its about the old version! What about the version for the SNES / Genesis? The map was much larger... I only was able to beat PRACTICE mode by cheating with the quicksave / quickload on my emulator... but still hard as--

Games I got mad at:

- FFX-2 (The tournament that took me 5 billion tries, had me swearing like crazy at the screen lol)

- Runescape (got mad when people ganged up on and killed me for all I was worth...)

-Street Fighter 3rd Strike (stuck at the last boss for a LONG time...)

-MGS2 (Hard difficulty) (Solidus took a lot of tries, and got me pleading with him to keep me alive... lol)

Aaaand... I think that's it?
PRECIOUS VELIUS....

A game that would make me throw tantrums and hurt myself by gritting my teeth really hard (almost to the point of blindness... blink.gif ) or by pounding on my desk was Puyo Puyo (1 AND 2, i believe). It also made me accidentily punch myself... NEAR the groin (i was aiming for the desk but.... y'know). It's the best tetris-based puzzle game i've ever played... it will always have a special place in my heart.

Chef, I never played the NES version. But I did play the SNES version. And I beat it, with my sisters help. Are they at all the same?

Similar though the SNES version has much better play control. The thing about the NES version is that the enemies had no predictable patterns whatsoever. No amount of replaying could get you to figure them out as they all moved around completely randomly. That, and two hits... you're dead.

I used to run a small business with the loveable News Anchor K1NGWARREN. I took my N64 from home (that I'd had for about four years) there to pass the time as we waited for clients. I got it so that I could play through and beat Star Fox 64 in about 35-40 minutes.

So I would play through and beat the game, on average, about once a week. I knew where every enemy was going to be and when they'd attack and how to strafe left to right to kill everyone in every board. However I STILL could not beat Paul's high score from one of the two or three times he beat it when I was living at my parents' house.

This made a super easy game endlessly frustrating. THANKS PAUL!

That's cause you suck and you placed your precious points in the worst skills.

Poison and Bone Don't mix with a summoner. Curses should not be maxed, but kept at low levels, they complimant the other skills.

ALso your Golem was probably IRON, which means he deals shit damage in hell levels.

Stick with the fire golem, and you can never go wrong

23 points in Golem Mastery (+7 from equip on all skills)
20 in Iron Golem (he does not suck)
15 in skeletal Mage
20 in Skelton Mastery
7 in decriptify
8 in Summon Resist
13 in Skeletons ( I know a waste)
7 in revive
7 in lower resistance

Rest in prereq's

My Iron Golem may not deal much damage, but he is a tanking player ( 3000+ defense) He stands there and draws the attacks whlie my merc (who deals enough damage to make up for the IG's weakness) Murders them from the side.

My Mages deal enough magic damage after I cast lower resistance.

My skeletons are good meat shields.

I sit back and revive fallen monsters that my merc kills, while my IG takes the hits. I just sit there casting Decriptify and raising the dead.

My Nec sucks cause I m unable to find good armour, and his resistance to fire is weak, so those bastard guardians murder me with hydra spells. My Merc can only handle so much fire beatings, and I can handle even less.

I could walk around for hours, getting expericene and finding the right armour, but it's not worth it in the long run. I would rather just bitch and complain here.

If I didn't have a pirated copy, I would PVP you on bnet and kick your Druids, Nec's asses.

You maybe be level 99, but i have enough micromanagement that would run tread marks around your fucking ass.

Bitch

I like how you started by insulting his abilities, and then continued by giving friendly advice. You wouldn't by any chance be schizophrenic, would you?
