i typed "pick up phone" that worked pretty well

No, it doesn't work. I'm still in the lobby, faintly hearing the telephone ringing.

The following sentences won't work:

- Answer the phone
- Answer the telephone
- Answer to the telephone
- Talk to the telephone
- Look at telephone
- Where is the telephone?
- Kill the telephone
- dance

There's some spoiler thread, created by you, if I remember correctly. The last three or five posts there should help you out.

Finished. I just didn't know the lobby had a door eastwards.

Being the last one to finish the game is good, it makes you feel confortable and superior.

No such luck with game 3. As soon as I look at the phone or the page it blanks out. No matter what I type after that it blurts 'Wha? I don't understand.'

Never mind. Seems to work if you take the page to the lobby and read it there. No issues after that.

It's a good story, albeit short. Would like to see more Yahtzee text adventures, which could be delivered at shorter intervals than it takes to make a full graphical game, only with a decent parser. A parser that doesn't crap itself if you forget to say 'at'.

Graphics and AGFW/1213/P12 like features that aren't just "Wooo, better than average shiny graphics!" like all the average fan adventure games, anytime.

Does Winfrontz hate anybody else? As I said before, when using it on my computer random lines would disappear, so I booted up my old computer and run it on that. Seems to work fine most, it just every now and then caused the computer to freeze.

I had a lot of trouble getting the Countdown games to work with Winfrotz (lots of lines disapeering etc) so I went looking for a different interpreter. The one I ended up using, Winnitfol (whats with the odd names?) actually worked really well.

Please don't shoot me. As unspeakable as it sounds, I'm actually still waiting! I think it will be worth it.

Considering that I've been reading posts around this form for decades and only joined to guess the "s-word", managing the monster of curiosity is very very hard!
