Heh. Yahtzee has obviously just tacked 'isHoldingBlade==1' onto the default synonym commands for 'kill' such as hit/punch/kick/attack, which of course assume that you are not using a weapon of any kind. That's why stab etc. don't work, as they aren't default.

It is obvious from that statement that you have never ever ever used Inform 7.

Morelike:

Check kill:
if yourself has knife, do nothing;
otherwise say "Kill [noun] with what?." instead

That, of course, after having explained how to kill, what effect killing has, and what objects cn be killed...

Tss, what good is a program that doesn't even have an inherent knowledge about this most basic topic?

I can't quite remember what version of Inform it was, but it I can be pretty sure it wasn't 7 if it involves all this braindead receptionist nonsense. That DM4 pdf still haunts me.

I only managed to make three or four rooms before giving up in frustration. Do you realise how difficult it is to get the damn library to recognise the verbs necessary for a functioning toilet.

Countdown 2: The Soul is up. Check the front page, refresh it if necessary.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

Finished it. That was pretty cool. I'm now even more excited for the new game.

Haha, I was worried at first when I played, reading all the descriptions of things like the fuel barrel and the exposed wiring I sort of expected some kind of drawn out puzzle leading to some kind of giant explosion, but I was relieved to find out that it wasn't going to be that complicated.

Hm, I'm actually still trying to figure out if there's an alternate ending or something. There must be a reason for petrol being there. Also, the description of the fridge being taped shut "for the moment," the sounds of groaning from behind the heavy garage door, the fact that the corridor lists south as a doorway but tells you it's locked, the fact that the ending bothers to say "you completed your task," and the way that the blade is shaped like a key... There has to be something.

Great little game! A bit of something to keep me from imploding until the next one comes out...I'm ashamed to say I'm stuck right not, and I'm not sure if that's because I'm not used to text games or if I'm missing something here.

Sigh.

It was interesting... I also thought there was something strange with all the descriptions of things not needed for the character's task. Hmm. I'll have to go back and play again.

But... the guy! In red! *waves arms* Is this who I'm thinking of? That I can't mention because not everyone bought the special edition? Is that him?

Oh yes, and it was nice to see another page of the prophecy. Always cool.

Am I the 1st to notice that the game name is hidden in the last two screen shots?

The 'smoke' has gotten sharper and now spells "6 days a ?????".

Can anyone makeout the last word.

Yeah, I noticed. I tried fiddling with painting programs trying to get some of the letters to stand out from the blur to no avail. Other than "6 days" there's nothing else readable.

Arien: I think he is.

It's just two more weeks, after all this time we might as well wait that out with one breath!
(Unless m0ds doesn't finish on time. Although I find it most unlikely for the music to be too late, as he too must be fully aware of the fact that such a transgression would lead to his certain death. biggrin.gif)
