Throughout my life, I've lost a great many things: opportunity, faith, sleep, but none of these things get me all choked up and teary-eyed like the CDs I've lost over the years. The first CD that I can remember never being able to find is that one Weird Al CD with "This Song's Just Six Words Long" on it. I think it's called Bad Hair Day? That one disappeared years ago, before I knew to copy the songs to a computer.

When I moved to college, I seemed to have lost several more CDs that had made me that much less likely to fall asleep on my long drive to work. These precious gems in include:

1. You Could Have it So Much Better by Franz Ferdinand
2. Anthem by Less than Jake
3.... That's about it, I guess. But I miss those two.

So this New Year's Day, I propose a toast. To the CD that got away.

Well there are some songs I have lost and never could find them by lyric. Sometimes I still do endless searches but I can play what I remember on keyboard.

Even after tearing through all of my belongings, I still cannot find my copy of "Substance" by New Order.
This makes me sad. sad.gif
