Well, some clever people have quoted the offending request and declared SPOILERS, which seems to be as clever an idea as any.

Fine.

---------------------------------------SPOILERS------------------------------------------------

Stand next to hole and use the pickaxe on it when Janine is close to it.

To get the photo of Dr Hardy use your phone. Try calling everybody. Remember what you see. Janine will need proof. You'll find it on a camera.

--------------------------------------- END SPOILERS ------------------------------------------

How's that?

fornax: Last I checked, this thread was for bugs reporting, feedback or asking about hints and replying to other people requests's for hints. If you want to discuss the plot in details and nitpick at every little points of the game, you should do it in the spoiler thread, which was made specially so we'd discuss in it rather than spoil the story to everyone.

Bugs and glitches reporting below:
In front of the orange door, there is a walk behind glitch with Sam's blood.

A visual glitch, on day 4, when the hallway is switching from one dimension to the other, if you look carefully at the door that lead to the room where the pickaxe is, you can see the blur of the purple outlines around the door sprite. Tough to explain but you'll see what I mean.

When you control Malcolm, or the guy in red, or the new prince, you still get the "My mother used to say I had pianist's hands." when you look at the hand icon.

A bug on day 5, when going down the long staircase, I have no idea if it's normal, but at some point I got mysteriously brought back at the top of the room. I've been to replicate this bug twice, in different staircases it seems, but I have no idea how I did it. Twice it was after the first flashback and in the stairs on the right of the screen.

Same day, same place, there is a walk behind glitch in the last stairs that lead to the room at the bottom of the screen.

On day 6, in the hallway, it is impossible to open or select the storage room door with the GUI.

Still on day 6, it's possible to get stuck in the coffin when you touch the darkness at the very same time the screen stop shaking.

Cool game as always Yahtzee. cool.gif

As an aside, I'm still amused by how DeFoe Manor turns out to be in Buckinghamshire... where I'm from! And how a council worked from BCC could go on to SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER. They have the Daily Mail at their Amersham office.

Whatever. The line between spoiler/hint seems to be very blurred here. Don't worry. I'm done with the nit-picking. No more.

PS: uuuuuuuh..... okay lemme get this straight. The guy has a broken neck, broken ankle, fractured head, broken arm, several other broken bones, and as samantha said he "needed the attention of a real hospital". However, he had SEX! omg if i ever fall from an elevator shaft and have sex a couple of days after i'll probably be some kind of god!

I had the same bug as Blueskirt in the big staircase room. However, I only encountered this the second time I played through the game. After each flashback, I was transported back to the last bloodless group of stairs. Not really fatal for gameplay, but quite annoying.

To find the wire (highlight for spoilers):

Once you get access to Canning's office, search the filing cabinet for a wad of papers. Then look at them in your inventory to get a staple.

Didn't see this posted as a bug, not sure if it is, but I'll mention anyway.

On day 6, the "look" icon is no longer the first in the options, it's the last. Just a bit disconcerting, since I was used to clicking the second spot for hand and it had become the first. Hopefully that even made sense to anyone.

Pointless whimpering aside, this game is amazing, I loved it, perfect finish to the series. Yahtzee, you are one of my favorite human beings.
I'm just here to point out your shortcomings and stupidity.

Excellent finish to the series, though less creepy then it's forerunners.

As for bugs/improovements, I'm putting them in white to hide possible spoilers.
1. Samantha's description in the readme says she did 'inethical' work instead of 'unethical' work.
2. After Trilby forces the door of the lab open, it remains forced open in the hallway, but if you enter the lab, the door is closed.
3. The stairs in the DeFoe Manor on Day 6 should have a highlightable hotspot like doors. I tried clicking the top of the stairs, and when that didn't work assumed you couldn't go upstairs. It wasn't until I failed that part once that I realised I could get up there.

ProgZMax over of the AGS Forums suggested that this episode should really be called "The Trouble with Trilbies" laugh.gif

Please help me, I'm stuck on day 2. I need to distract the trilby guard but I can't get him to follow me anywhere.

The direct answer is in the thread somewhere earlier, go look for it. For a non-direct answer, you need to lead him to something unusual...

Y'know I was really pissed off with that too, when I had to go traipsing around DeFoe Manor and encounter those bloody stairs again that are impossible to go down.
