Well Yahtzee's page stays, it's no longer up for deletion. Im happy to say I managed to get in the last keep vote before the discussion was closed. Hooray to me. The trilby's notes article is still up for deletion though sad.gif.

Well, the main thing is that Yahtzee's page stays, and that is perfectly enough to arouse anyone's interest in these games.

Someone has intelligently decided to merge all the Days games into a single article. 1213 is still up for deletion though, and I don't see why the webcomics should be kept anyway. Neither of them have got half as much celebration as the games. YTOTW was drawn in Paint, and C&T is intentionally bad. I could fart out better comics than C&T.

Do it. I loved C&T, so I'd surely love those too then.

Why, are you going to tell me Yahtz puts blood, sweat and tears into the making of C&T?

I guess not (especially not at the moment), but I wouldn't call it shit, because it's great.
However, the effort may not be in strict correlation with the result.
There are projects into which their creators invest blood, sweat & tears, and they're still shit. Yahtzee can create gold with a flick of his finger.

Nah, C&T was pretty shite. It's basically Fighter and Thief from 8 Bit Theater, just in a modern environment.

In fact, it's pretty much exactly Fighter and Thief from 8BT. But not as funny.

Indeed. Personally, after the 100 first 8Bit strips or so, I spend most of the following strips to wonder why the heck I was still reading 8Bit since it was always the same old thing, an huge amount of useless text and images ending with Red Mage editing his character sheet, Thief stealing something or shoving his contract at the party's face, Fighter saying something dumb, White Mage clubbing Black Mage with a huge hammer or Black Mage backstabbing or going Hadoken on some NPC, but mostly on Fighter. In fact, I laughed more often and for a longer time at the guest strips made for that webcomic than any of the original strips all reunited.

And not only C&T is just like 8Bit, graphically and humoristically but not as funny, which is a bad start already, but C&T fails at both raising the bar established by YTOTW or carrying its torch. And considering YTOTW is still one of the best webcomic I ever read, it's even more deceiving. Sorry to burst your bubble, but C&T is not the universally acclaimed webcomic you thought it was. dry.gif

I stopped reading C&T after the third or fourth strip in the featureless white room.

But I have to admit I laughed out loud of the first strips. Even now, I still laugh of the "six steps of intoxication". That was a good joke. I will continue reading it someday.

My sentiments exactly, Mr. Nostaw. That one's definitely my favorite.

This is a great shock to me. I was absolutely convinced that everyone else loved Chris & Trilby like I did. mellow.gif

I don't even think it's worthy of all this analysis and review. It's a joke, a distraction, just scratching his webcomic itch, like Yahtzee said. It's vaguely funny, but it's not meant to be any good.

Hehehe, looking back on those old updates when he announced it... "I miss doing the gag-a-day thing"... "I'm not sure how often it'll be updated. Probably safe to assume it'll be quite often, 'cos I can rattle these things off in a second"... "on reflection it's probably going to turn out being a daily comic"...

Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I gave you the instruction to kill.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.
