Are you ready to be underwhelmed?

Then man up to the "Smirking Chris Quinn Incomplete Pencil Sketch Challenge"!

Mediocre!

So... yeah. That's an incomplete sketch I made of Christopher Quinn while trying to kill some time at school. I'm hesitant to add eyes out of fear that I'll ruin a decent drawing, albiet incomplete. As for the hair, I lack the skill to complete his Captain Planet-looking mullet. I always interprited his haircut as being a mullet, and he seems like he'd always have stubble. He's the kind of guy who'll settle for half-a-bathtub, y'know? It shows up wierd because my scanner is just something they threw on the printer to make it look nicer. So bask in its majestic insubstantiality, and perhaps one day meet his friend, "New Prince With No Complete Limbs, Save a Leg, Because It Takes Time To Make Things Look Nice". Patience is hard.

I'm done now...

Hey, that's a pretty good jawline and nose combo. I do like the smirk.

It just needs some finishing, ya know? And *maybe* some eyes. biggrin.gif

Very interesting proportions he's got there. The ear seems to be situated a bit too high, doesn't it?

About the hair, I always saw it as semi-long, messy and unwashed. Y'know, the kind that patients in psychiatry wards have.

Looks good otherwise, if it's possible, please post it when it's done.

It's not quite fanart, but a friend remarked that in this picture I apparantly look a bit Trilby-esque.

I don't see it. The hat's wrong, I'm not clean shaven, the hair isn't long enough (especially at the front) and the glasses kill it. Anyone see it? Do I have permission to slap said person fopr being silly?

(This was "gamnsgter theme night" at a pub I work in)

I couldn't find a Trilby that suited me. I either wound up looking like a pikey, or Pete Doherty.

So I spent £40 on a nice brown trilby/fedora cross that suits me and I can wear whenever I want smile.gif

Tasty. I like chocolate hats.

Problem with dark colored hats is that they get dirty/dusty too quick too soon. I always cut my nails short so picking up those small bits would be quite a pain. Hope yours wouldn't be like that.

Mine is so far keeping in good shape, and a light dusting with my hand usually gets rid of any dirt/dust

A razorblade can help a lot in cleaning the inside.

I believe the head wear should be removed before the cleaning or else you'll end up with a Russian hair cut.
