How it is mean't to work:

You can make up any story you like but can't be finger pointing directly at any particular real people named in your article with slanderous statements. Facts, hints and an exception with opinions maybe acceptable.

If possible make one or more meanings stand out then form them into questions.

Here is an example:

A firework shop was broken into and set alight on the night of Nov 6th.
It has been reported that there was no one in the building at the time of the fire and nobody was hurt during the blaze. According to police investigations there are no clear motives leading up to the incident at this time. What did strike the police is that two witnesses who claimed to have seen two tall and short suspects wearing black masks, carrying red petrol cans breaking into the shop’s window before it was set on fire left empty handed. What baffled the police further and surrounding witnesses is that none of the fireworks inside the shop managed to go off between or after the blaze which fire fighters battled to put out until the house was reduced to ashes the next day.

Now can anyone work out a motive behind this?

I forgot to addon:

The store workers and property occupants are nowhere to be found but the authorities are still searching for any clues to their present location or places they might have gone to which they will be notified of the bad news about the demise to their shop.

Can anyone work out a motive behind this?

It seems that nobody is interested.

Well first of all think of why:

The men set light to a shop but didn't take anything. According to witnesses.
During the fire no fireworks went off.
The owners of the shop couldn't be found.

The motive behind the story is that a group of people who were heavily ripped off from a store selling fake fireworks got their revenge by burning the store down. That is why the fireworks didn't go off during the blaze. Either the store was rented out or most likely temporarily inherited by squatters.

I thought of another:

Recently in a particular neighbourhood there have been complaints from home owners about their domestic pet cats walking funny. Usually this has been reported to only affect those who let their cats out at night. The funny walk only affects the two back legs shown by how they limp. It is not known yet whether these frequently occurring symptoms are allergy related, caused by accidents in building abandonments or whether culprits were involved. Investigations in the area from animal crews are still under way and more detailed examinations of this type of injury is being conducted at the animal labs. There has not been a case known like this before even from nearby neighbourhood areas. As a result authorities are asking all pet owners to keep their animals inside at night and a bill is being passed to leash all dogs at all times.

Now can someone think of a cause here?
