Well, i think the best reason why Trilby doesn't reveals his true name at all would be because of what Yahtzee said once: --Anyway, long story short, Trilby puts on the facade of a suave debonaire thief when inwardly he's a complete mental fuckup whose thieving tendencies come more from being neurotic than any sort of principles or monetary goals.-- Being such a neurotic man, you don't know what to expect from him.

Spirit of dead defoe son who harrased by his own father made lots of dark deeds in his "afterlife" that caused a big galactic space-time paradox and we first start playing as a mystery guy Tribly without name just because he hasn't any name, and his presence is the only way galaxy could escape paradox, he is born by the gods, he was never young, the first thing he remember in his own life was that mannor, he don't even realise why he choosed it, only keeping himself thinking it's just a hijacking for money. Even gods like to play games )))

I think you've been watching too much Bill Hicks to make that kind of flagrant generalisation.

Maybe he did, but I didn't, and I can assure you that every fundamentalist Christian I've talked to said the same. Which gave me a god reason to point and laugh at them. No offense, fundamentalist christians, but damn, you guys are just too stupid. Please don't kill me.

In my opinion, anyone who takes the Bible 100% literally, as the exact words of God (including that wacky, brimstone-hellfire ending) is somewhat fucked in the head, okay? Like we're God's children, he loves us (except for gay people, they're irredeemable sinners, apparently) and he created Hell to torture us after our death if we didn't live a life that fully appealed to him? Whoa, that... just doesn't sound right. No, I think that's quite missing the point. Unfortunately, as Gobbler said, this is no generalisation, I had the same experience with these people. Indeed, I quoted Bill Hicks to make a point, but this is exactly how I feel about it as well.

Hmm, perhaps we should move this to the debate club. From now on, it's 7DAS back on topic again.

You know, I'm getting pretty tired of all this.

The reason for wich we are changing the point in question to dinosaurs, Bill hicks, reasons to kill Gobbler, etc. it's because it's been more than three months since Trilby's notes was released. What we've got since then? A suspiscious screenshot, a abbreviation and very vague information.

I was expecting the next game to be released in halloween, as a marketing hit. But no, it's not there. When is he going to release it? In Xmas, when no one is intersted in violent stuff? Or maybe in the Revellion, when everyone is answering their "Happy New Year" emails?

David, I know you like surprises, but listen to my situation. I am the one who is updating the "Next game" topic in the brazilan Orkut community of Trilby's notes. Right now, I have nothing to tell them, and the community is dying. Last month there were 9 guys associated to the TN community, now there are only 8. In the 5DAS community, there were 16 guys in the last month, now there are only 15. Maybe he was the same guy, I don't know and I don't care, but I consider this a major problem.

Yahtzee, could you at least tell us the name of the next game, please?

Well, let me put it this way: Did Yahtzee explicitly say he was working on the game at the moment? No. All he said was that he had the title of the game, and the suspicious screenshot may not even have been cut out from it, if you recall, it was some of the forumers who decided so. I know not what the very vague info you mentioned could be. It's not as if Yahtzee is obliged to make the game for us in the very near future, and if (heaven forfend) he decides to cancel the whole thing because he gets sick of it, you'll have to understand even that. I'm pretty sure all of us have had to put up with worse disappointments in our lives.

Halloween release?!? You're pretty fast in business.

Personally I learned on the spot what happen when you wait too much (5 years I waited for AGDI to release Quest for Glory 2 VGA, 4 years I waited for Gaspop to release whatever they're working on, and I don't list everything), and I just stay constantly busy to have something else to do other than being impatient.

But if I never learned, and if I was waiting non stop for The Next Game, considering GFW was released on summer 2005, 1213 on winter 2006 and TN on summer 2006, I'd realistically wouldn't expect anything until the next winter or the end of January just to not create any false hopes and useless deception. As for teaser, it will probably be like 1213 or TN, nothing until a few days before the release.

Well, the next game of the series is taking a good time indeed. But :
1- Yahtzee also has a job and a girlfriend. So, i doubt he would slow down his job or his relationship with his girl just to make the game faster. (I wouldn't)
2- He draws on MSpaint..... if that's not slow i don't know what it is. I'm not criticizing his drawings, they're great.
3- I tried AGS programming. It's a great program, but some things are pretty complicated. Even RPG maker being the simplest of all game making programs i've seen so far it takes a good time to make decent new systems on it (new battle system, new menu, etc)
4- He doesn't get money for them.
5- And in my opinion the main reason: The story. Yahtzee is probably tryng to make the plot even better and with more surprises than TN. That's not impossible for him, but it is not easy. And on top of that he probably will reveal to us most mysteries of the plot, maybe not all because he likes to let us asking questions. Programming, drawing and finding good sound effects and music is easy. Creating the story.......well..........

To sum it up: Yahtzee has a LIFE to live, apart from making and playing games, unlike us.
