Are you using the T9 feature on your mobile phone? I just knew how to use the feature a few months ago.. I was a multi-tapper way back and it's very tedious for me whenever I send long text messages.

What do you prefer, multi-tap or predictive texting?

T9's fine, that is, if you're writing the message in English. The German version, well, sucks.

Predictive texting all the way!

Though it gets mighty annoying when it predictes the wrong word
or the right word in the wrong tense.

Deleting that wastes precious sending time.

I had the same experience like yours. I pressed 4663 for "home" but then it gave me "good", i hit the asterisk key for the next word then it instantly displayed "home". I think there's a tutorial for predictive texting, i just forgot. I'll search for it.

I simply can't understand mulit-tap. It infuriates me. Worse so, everyone else I know can't use predictive and uses multi-tap. Grr.

We can't blame them, I'd rather text the easy way by pressing one key per letter rather than pressing twice or thrice just to get a single letter... it is so annoying.

I found out the shortcut in switching from multi-tap to T9.

T9 is easier by far. I can't text without it.

I found quick tips in learning T9. It's where I found out how to switch from multi-tap to T9 and adding up words in the dictionary.
