Right, hello again, something's been puzzling me ever since I managed to get my grubby mits on Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition to play Age of Evil. The level design is brilliant (although the church level was a let down, I being a Christian) and the new weapons are interesting. But how did he do it? How did Yahtzee manage to totally convert DN3DAE? I'm asking 'cause I'd like to change that silly game into something better. The build engine I find fascinating, simpler than Quake, but not as simple as Doom, but smack dab in the middle. It's been a dream of mine to use it and make my very own 3D game...

Also, if Yahtzee or anyone else needs any hosting, especially Yahtzee, I've got some free space on my domain. I'll just make a separate page in the hosted category for you. (I also need material for an update)

So, that's about it, I guess. Please, someone tell me how to totally convert Duke Nukem 3D, I have to know.

Beats me, but as long we're talking about Age of Evil, does anyone know where the first-level music (also used in Really Interesting World of Chris Quinn) comes from? Just wondering if it was based on something. It's been stuck in my head for about 8 months now.

Good luck on the total conversion - who knows, you could make something on par with Ken's Labyrinth smile.gif

Well, I sort of remember fiddling around with the level editor of my copy of Duke Nukem 3d back when I had DOS installed on the computer, and I figured that you could change basically anything, eg. sound effects, sprites, textures, strength and features of your weapons, characteristics of the monsters, and I think that this is all Yahtzee did. And I have to say that he did bloody good work (surprise, surprise). I have to contradict you on that church level, that one actually got me scared, it was no let-down at all.

I downloaded The Really, Really Interesting World of Chris Quinn just to find out what music you were talking about. You're not referring to Madness' House of Fun, are you?

Erm, after an exaustive search I was unable to find "the Really, Really Interesting World of Chris Quinn." Where can I find it? Sorry, such a newbie post. I'm horrible at locating things.
