My amp broke. Today I bought my first electrical guitar. A Schectar diamond Series with a Peavy Amp. I've been on an acoustic for over a year and finally decided to get the sounds I wanted with an electric.

My amp was working fine for 4 hours then this sound starting coming out UuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

It always makes this noise, even with my guitar unplugged from it.

I'm so angry and felt that all of you should know this.

Does the amplifier turn on?
That to me sounds like an earthing noise. I am thinking that there could be a problem with the input jack or the wiring to it.

It turns on. It just consistently makes this noise. I've messed with all the levels, plugged and unplugged my guitar, tried different outlets around the apartment, and thats about it.

I'm so angry!

Yes I think a wire might have fallen loose from the input jack inside or it could be incorrectly soldered from or to the jack giving that sound.

Have you opened it up yet and checked the connections to the input jack?

I'm afraid I might screw it up if i DO. I Nearly failed all all my labs in school that had to do with wires and circuitry.

I think you might be right though, my pal just talked to me and he said the EXACT same thing as you!

Play an acoustic.
