The thing is, that Nazi Germany had the resources to fight a war. Look at North Korea, the situation there is very very desolate. Sure, it would suffice for keeping up the status quo or some lesser jousts, but in the long run: Nope.

And yes, it is very disturbing to see that they (supposedly) have functional nuclear weapons now. That would make those jousts a huge bloody mess. That, and it would mean doom for all of us. Sigh.

It's not the US' job to police the whole damned world, nor do we have enough people brainwashed to think that that is an acceptable policy for a nation yet. It's also not our job to decide who may have nuclear technology. It's the UN's job. And if the UN is weak, it's due to petty political infighting and a lot of poor diplomatic relations between the other countries and the US. We have one of the five permanent spots with veto power, and are the reason why there aren't a bazillion sanctions against Israel due to the inhumane actions it has taken in Gaza.

North Korea is a military state for sure. Many Koreans at my work talk about how North Koreans are brain washed.

I don't mind if the US has nukes because Canada's survival and economic power is pinned to the states. We sold out to the US shortly after WW2 and as a result are attached to it by the hip.

North Korea doesn't care about it's populace or neighbours. They have a huge army and pretty advanced missle system. Everything they do is for their warmachine so it makes me think that they will try something sooner or later.

They are also sitting in a good position. Close to Russia and China, both of which stick up for North Korea. You can't just attack that country without starting a world war scenario.

North American's may not be threatened, but Japan and South Korea sure as hell are. South Korea has manditory Army service which lasts two years. Many Koreans at my work place left for Canada so they could avoid it. SO Korea is worried about a possible war as well.

I won't say nobody is worried about Nuclear warfare. Miltary states like KOrea live for that sort of thing. Crazy men who have too much power and a big army have a really good oppurtunity to write history and create their own little legacy. North Koreans are very brainwashed and would probably follow their leader into their graves.

Russia has always been against North Korea's actions, its just that Russia has been moderate and hasnt called for its destruction like the United States has.
