Greetings, fellow Chefelfers!

Well, alas, my friends from the Kingdom of Shiabruck were all set to join your humble Draognmaster for this year's Medieval Festival @ Fort Tryon Park. Unfortunately, once more, the Eternals saw fit to screw up the plans between King Henry the Red and myself. Alas, Mrs. Tammy McGhee, Ken's beloved wife, is at this moment in a hospital near Detroit, apparently the result of several years of chain smoking. Please remember her in your prayers, my friends, as she is not entirely well at the present moment.

As for you, dear Chefelf, I had thought I'd have the chance to rendezvous with you --- but I never saw you in attendance; I was so anxious to greet ye again as I'd done last year. But by then, alas, I was far too tired at day's end, the sun had gotten in me eyes around four of the clock --- and, in the end, by the time all had been said and done, I was so bloomin' exhausted that I had little choice save to konk meself out. I slept for a full 11 hours --- and I enjoyed every moment of it!

Right now, I have to grumble. 2006 thus far has been a bad year to make music. The Continental Club on St. Mark's Place in the Village stops hosting live musical acts, then CBGB's shuts its doors --- and, as was posted on the wires a few hours ago, seems headed for Vegas --- and as of last weekend, Tower Records is likewise about to go bye-bye. Damn you, iPod!!!

Well, all I have left to do is the Village Halloween Parade, and then maybe, I'll slosh meself silly on Coca-Cola Classic. I'll let ye know. For now, I'm off to drown my sorrows in the videos on YouTube.com. See ya!
