Figured I'd finally register and post something, having lurked here for quite a while as a guest.

It looks like we have the first (fairly reliable) bit of info on the title for episode three. According to Aint It Cool, Lucas has abandoned the original choice of "The Rise Of The Empire", a perfectly appropriate title I feel, in favour of the downright bloody awful "The Creeping Fear".

It's 14 months to the release, and already I want my money back ...

DistantAngel, welcome to the forum!

"The Creeping Fear" Mother of all that is sacred! I'd like to say "George wouldn't dare stoop that low" and then I remember who I"m talking about. "The Creeping Fear" would certainly fith in with the trend of each movie having a worse title than the previous movie. I didn't think it could get worse than "Attack of the Clones" but "The Creeping Fear" is one of the worst things I've ever heard.

Sounds more like a Metallica song/album than a Star Wars movie. I guess you could argue that both Metallica and Star Wars have both taken the same path of sucking and disappointing their fans.

That's great. I think they should ALL rhyme and spell out a six line poem.

Episode 1: In a time so long ago,
Episode 2: There came a Jedi that we all know.
Episode 3: He got all roboty and ruled the stars,
Episode 4: Then his son went into sketchy bars.
Episode 5: He fought his dad, and what do you know?
Episode 6: He saved the galaxy, yo ho ho!

"The Creeping Fear"...well I could have almost guessed it.
I just knew in my heart that he'd come up with the most asinine
name ever to reach star warsdom.
George's only regret will be not making episodes 7-9, and not being able
to give even worse names than "the creeping fear".

"The Creeping Fear?" Come on! That's a ruse! It isn't the real title! I've watched enough MST3K.

Other possible titles for EPIII:

*RED-ZONE NABOO
*"GUNGANS" THE SIDEKICKS OF HATE
*SITHHACKERS
*POD-RACER PEOPLE
*THE INCREDIBLY MIXED UP CLONES WHO STOPPED BEING GOOD AND BECAME STORMTROOPERS
and...

*ANAKIN - With Jo Don Baker in the title role

the creeping fear? isn't that just the same title as the phantom menace? but the creeping fear... how gay is that?!? why not call it the silent fart? and what creeping fear, who's affraid? and of what? what the hell is going on?

'the creeping fear' sounds like a 1930s radio horror mystery show.

I agree with DistantAngel on this one, 'Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines' was a much better title.

how about these;
episode 1: An Old Hope
episode 2: the Empire Does Nothing
episode 3: how I learned to stop worrying and love the jedi

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

on a more pleasant note I'd like to announce that I refuse to beleive that TCF is going to be the title. no one can afford yes men that would 'yes' that!!!

Thankfully, it seems like the "The Creeping Fear" has been shot down by a Lucas lackey somewhere in-line today. I do not doubt that this might have been released by Lucas to float out for public sentiment.

Here's an idea for a title:

Episode III: Well, Let's Get this over with.

I swear on the life of all of my loved ones that if the title comes out and it is decent I will admit it.

I will also sprout wings made of taffy and fly into the heart of the sun where I will live for eternity as the MODERN AGE SUN GOD!
