I was watching Joel Veitch's song I like your pants, and I noticed something important. It seems that Mr. Veitch's singing kittens, in their infinite wisdom, like puffins and lemurs.

I like puffins, jellyfish squid and lemurs, I like clouds and lemon zest. I'm very fond of axolotls, but your pants are just the best.

I just thought this was too much of a coincidence not to mention. I mean, I never thought I'd see the puffin/lemur rivalry outside the forums. Is it a sign? Notice that puffins are listed first.

Its a sign that he's a FILTHY JELLYFISH HATER!

Damnit, I liked Spoonguard! And he opposes teh true REIGN OF JELLYFISH?!? That's not good man, not good at all.

Carry on.

Now that reminds me of a tune I have been looking around for years. I just could never find the name and keep on forgetting the lyrics when I do hear it unexpectedly. And I can't find much on Spoonguard.

I still stand by the fact that Puffins are superior, as the gentle giants of the animal kingdom.

I thought whales were the gentle giants of the animal kingdom?

Or Sasquatch? Sasquatch is awesome. happy.gif

Miss Sherwood versus Mr. Sublime.

GO!

Whoever reaches the patent office first, wins.

(*pushes Sime down in line before he can get the patent and pins him there*)

LEMURS! yell.gif

But I first declared the OFFICIAL challenge!

However, to prove the diplomatic superiority of the lemurs, I'm willing to propose dual ownership credit: one half for the magnificent lemur, and the other for the puffin. Credit is where credit's due - you casually mentioned your partiality for puffins, I casually stated my preference for lemurs, blah, blah, blah, blah, I declared it was On.

And if you refuse, you'll look like a massive jerk.

EDIT:

(*reads through entire Puffin vs. Lemur thread, reveling in sweet nostalgia; slumps*)

I miss Mist and Little princess...I'd gladly hug them if they came back. Glomp them, even. crying.gif

Ah yes, the battle that gave my site its name, as well as caused the invention of a mortal combat spin off. M'Lady Jane, I shall always serve the cause of the valorous Lemur.

HaHA! Even without the poll, our numbers continue to grow! Welcome to the fold, Gobbler!

...I should also remind you that by the time Yahtzee closed the thread, we had control of the numbers anyway.

Oh, that's what a "Pufflemur" is! I just always assumed it was a made up word, and pronounced it in my head as "PUFFuhl-mur."

Also, who ever liked puffins in the first place? They're just funny birds that aren't even a hundredth as cool as penguins, which are pretty much the only birds worth liking (except I guess flamingos are alright). They don't even have any cool characters after them, like lemurs have Zobumafu and that crazy blue and green guy from Bear in the Big Blue House. Where was the argument, so long ago?
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.
