I wouldn't mind text parser, unless if it went as far as IF or first person adventure with text parser.

However, if I had to choose between text parser or a mere point and click interface with more time spend in sprites, puzzles, plots, dialogues, musics or something special, different and new like we've had in P12, Galaxy or 1213, my choice would be clear.

Mind, I have no idea if programming text parser is really time consuming in AGS.

What exactly is P12? Is this is a Yahtzee game I've missed? blink.gif

The real time consummer is not writing the "if" condition, ("if Said('something or other') { command(s) }") but foreseeing every possible way of saying "open door" or "take matchbox" or "use thingamajig".

Yes, it never got past the beta version, however. You can access the latest version here.

Great work as always. Ol' JS has a role in the next game, so perhaps I can build up his appeal.

I hasten to add that he's not a central character, though.

Ooops! Looks like we've got material for another week of conversation. It is in the space! And John Somerset won't be the main character! How can that be?

Perhaps because he's inside some kind of a maximum security prison, tied to a metal post, muzzled, and fills the role of helping the hero(ine) in solving the case? Does that sound familiar? I'm just brainstorming...

If he's not too busy being the wife of some tentacled alien that is.

Seriously, if TV ain't lying to us, there's 3 things one can do in jail, being somebody's wife, LARP of Prison Break or being the generally creepy, brain eating protagonist's sidekick. My guess goes to the last one too.

Yeah, maybe we'll have an Oz-type game, but with tentacles, and female guards with big eyes, small mouths, big chests and bums, small waists and that look just to damn young!
Now THAT is horror.

And to make it complete, everyone will do nothing but sing and look at rainbows!

Easy...

Ok...

I get it! I get it!

I was only joking, for goodness' sake!

Oh, and you can call me Dan. In fact, I'd rather be called Dan.

Adam, don't get antisocial. There is a difference between seriously insulting someone, and drawing their attention to the fact that they're cracking bad jokes.

Hello, Adam.

(Adam was pronounced in the same way Jerry pronounces Newman)
