I always thought Mace Windu was a jackass. I rather enjoyed it when he was killed.

Yeah, I hate Mace Windu. But I gotta say, it makes me laugh every time I see Sam Jackson in a Jedi costume. It ended up being one of the brighter points to the PT in my opinion.

QUOTE (Kuma @ Nov 1 2006, 02:33 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Heck to satisfy Lucas's stereotypes of "no character shall grow without my permission," it could've even been followed by:

Obi-wan: You should not have given him your credits.

ANAKIN: And why not?

Obi-wan: You don't know how he'll use them.

ANAKIN: I try to do good, Master. He was suffering. (looks down humbly)

...except that now it's Obi-Wan's character that's ruined, rather than Anakin's (not that Lucas didn't do this anyway). Showing Obi-Wan as a flawed Jedi is one thing; showing him as a mean, stingy bastard is quite another. I didn't watch the prequels to see all the characters I respected in the OT turned into utter prats.
QUOTE
The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

QUOTE
Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Let's be fair, here, guys/gals. Yoda in the OT was one crazy, senile old muppet.

Yes, I agree. Lucas trashed all of his characters that were given another forced introduction in the Prequel trilogy. And as for the new PT characters, they were trashed by association. At least we got to see most of them die a pitiful death.

ok all Mace-Hate aside they probably could of done more with all the numerous jedi.
Rather then having us watch all these nameless faces die in Eps.III.

I was actually looking forward to seeing some of the
female jedi kick some ass in AOTC.
But all in all it was a complete let down.

All of the Jedi sucked.
They were supposed to be feared, respected and
skilled keepers of the peace, but NOooOo.

Those crazy mofos had it so good, too good.
And what brought them down?
2 dark jedi (who also sucked compared to their Hundreds!!
It's all just to bloody ridicu-crazy

Did any of the female Jedi even have any lines, let alone kick ass?

NO, they didn't!
And thats part of my point!

The girls where made out to be firece
and just as Badass as the guys.

But nothing.... Not A Word.
Not a good scene
period.

There wasn't even a helpless sigh or grunt as they died.

Just Awful

the only two female jedi i remember were the one with the headjazz you gets dies on her knees at the hands of grevious in a deleted scene, and the chick on the vagflower planet who detects she's about to die until she starts getting pulverized by blaster fire from three clone troops...

great work girls...

oh, there was also whining Annie.

oh wait...

Yeah the chick on her knees was Shaak-Ti

(by the way, alot of those extra scenes should've never been cut.
They are in the comic book and they work damnit!)

and the one with the flowers was Aayla Secura
(hopefully i spelt those right).

But there were others.
Adi Gallia was the one that died on the swoop bike on some deserty planet.

And if you've seen volume one of the clone wars
(which i'm sure as the great barend you have)

then you might remember Barriss Offee and Luminara Unduli.
They were caught in the lightsaber crystal cave on Ilum.

And if i'm not mistaken Luminara was on Kashyyyk with Yoda

so yea they were there, they just didn't do jack.

And of course there was Annie.....
