It's a tough pick. I think I might go with the Y-wing simply because I found the Y-wing easier to draw when I was a kid.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

I was always more fond of the X-wing because of the Rogue Squadron games. They had fair shields, speed, and proton torpedos. It kept things simple. The Y-wings were far to slow to do any real combat damage unless using the bombing feature. All this is from the games. My personal favorite would be Darth Vader's TIE advanced. One of the fewer small personal craft that had lightspeed. Or Maul's Sith Infiltrator, no weapons really, just speed and cloaking.

X-wing, hans down.

The others just seemed like lame designs, based on a lame naming concept. I'm aware I'm talking OT here.

X-Wing. Sorry, LA, but we have to agree to disagree on this one.

Y-Wings were slow, clumsy, pieces of shit.

I'd say X-Wing, because it has an aerodynamic design that would come in handy IF the pilot were forced to pursue an enemy craft into an atmosphere.

Watch the climax of "A New Hope", they're the Y-shaped ships used by the 'Gold Team', the first batch of rebels who get killed by Darth Vader and his TIE fighter thugs.

Anyone who's played the X-Wing game for the PC knows that the answer is X-wing, it's not a matter of opinion. That is, unless, you have some sort of death wish.

The Y-wing, in the game, was completely useless with the exception of its ion cannons. Can't see why you couldn't equip an X-wing with those.
