Saw this the other night and howled. Mind you, I was in the mood to laugh. And did, about a hundred times.

Very enjoyable.

Almost everything does these days. I might rent "40 Year Old Virgin", but I doubt I'll be seeing in the theater near me and you.

There's no way it could be worse than "Drowning Mona".

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

Eh, I find that romantic comedies, rather like Romance/Humor fanfiction, are never humorous, and sometimes severely disturbing.
"YOU'RE MISSING A PERIOD. YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY, DON'T YOU? YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY THAT YOU FUCK WITH GRAMMAR? WELL, FUCK YOU AND FUCK YOUR MISSING PERIOD! I HOPE IT MEANS YOUR SLUTTY, NON-PUNCTUATED WAYS HAVE GOTTEN YOU TEEN-PREGNANT!"

I'm fairly sure that a movie called '40 Year Old Virgin' wouldn't have much romance in it (I'm talking romantic as in chick-flic style romanitic), and thats before you factor in that Stephan Colbert is staring it.

Well I went for the date night thing. We both screamed and it was great. The people walking out during the credits turned around and froze in their tracks. There's a nice little subplot with the hero's pristine action figure collection, which somehow managed to avoid star wasr crap.

Later, we couldn't stop singing the silly song at the end. I guess it was romantic, but not in that vomit-inducing Sleepless in Seattle kind of way. A smarter film than the wedding singer, but that's not saying a whole lot.

Agreed. We went to go see this one a couple of weeks ago. It was great. I passed up an opportunity to see a free screening last month when they were handing out free tickets just because I'm never one for going to the movies by myself. Too bad. sad.gif

I'm looking forward to the DVD release of this one.

Yeah, I was expecting it to be kinda crappy, but I was pleasantly surprised.

It was as crappy as I expected it to be. The parts that were well done were very good, but the rest was just thrown together bits of boring nonsense or lame low-brow humor. And not even the good kind.

Kirbs: Colbert isn't starring, it's the guy that got his mouth messed up in Bruce Allmighty.
