The Last Imperium Part One:

We have become nomads. Constantly looking for a place to settle on the outer-rim, constantly fighting for the smallest amount of food, constantly being driven further and further back by the 8th Republic. The great and powerful Supreme Commander Del Kenor keeps telling us about the old Imperial Empire, that they held such great power that they could wipe out entire planets with a single blast. SC Kenor keeps reminding us of that. Kenor took over as Supreme Commander when Jerrol Inek was killed, he died about a month ago. I finished my training only yesterday. I joined up years ago because of I had no place to go.
I was born on Tatooine as a slave. When I turned 19 in Selona about 6 months ago, I was sold to a trader who was heading to Yavin but the Trader Ship I was kept on was attacked by the Lost Imperium Forces, I managed to get out after the ship shook violently and the guard got slammed against the force field. Since I owed them my life I decided to join them.
For the past 5 months during my training we have circled Yavin attacking small freight ships and the like. We are but one Star Destroyer and a hand full of men, a few vehicles from the old Imperials. We have been circling Yavin 4 this past week, SC Kenor said we must prepare for battle, something I don’t quite understand because of our skeleton army.
The order has been given out “We are to take Yavin 4, we have enough resources and men to do so, although we few in numbers and the 8th Republic is present their, we will succeed, if we do not, then there is no point in living, we are the Imperials, we will rise again!” upon hearing this over the speaker, the feeling among the army was mixed, some cheered, others frowned, but all were interested in what was going to happen.
We had the element of surprise on our side, we disabled their radars and quickly descended down without notice, some of our agents went up ahead and destroyed some of their vehicles, we set up bases and called for the rest of the army. Suddenly a Republic scout accidentally wondered into our territory and the fighting began, I was a bit far from the front line, but I quickly got onto a swoop bike and rode forth. I got their, disengaged. I was on some ancient ruins, the Republic soldiers were running down a mountain as we held desperately for dear live, one Republic soldier threw a hand grenade and just missed me and a few others. I retreated, as the number of Republic soldiers was far too great, so I headed across to the centre of the ruins to out flank them. Suddenly a massive shock wept through the forest and our radios went blank. I kept firing like a madman, shooting anyone in front of me. Me and several other soldiers captured the top of ruins. The Republic soldiers kept coming, Then we heard a sound that healed our spirits, an ATST was coming through the forest followed by more reinforcements. With this flank secured I travelled to where I was earlier. I then kept fighting onward until I reached an enemy base, me and two other soldiers cleared out the area with thermal detonators. We captured the base. We stopped to get captured enemy supplies and some ammo, then kept on going. The Republic force then headed a massive counter-attack, they ran forested shooting in a frenzy. They outnumbered us greatly so we retreated but not after killing many. Our ATST lay in ruins after a Republic soldier blew up under it, causing the legs to collapse. We lost much ground, they lost many men. I kept firing every ten steps or so, usually killing one or two. Their numbers were amazing. Then the radios came back on. “They are retreating! Finish them OFF!” All the troops turned around to face the retreating enemy, they casualties were so great that their forces were in disarray. We followed pursuit and shot all then Republic soldiers as we went. Finally we reached their main base in the area, we rounded all the Republic forces and executed them. We won. But our victory was short lived as we found out there was another place close to ours in a temple still standing. We stormed the temple and the war continued. We went up ahead. The radio came on “Reinforcements have been attacked, we cannot help you!” I looked around, there was 4 of us. Joran Zhet, Valek Kendet, Milbin Mora and me, Lerak Dravvad. All of us nodded to one another and we all understood what was going to happen, we continued to fight. We through the temple, dodging snipers, we thought that if we made the Republic force concentrate on us, our guys could get through. It worked, while we were running through the temple, our forces circled the temple with extra ATST’s, then blew the outside enemy forces to oblivion. We then ran out of the temple to join our forces and then our entire army attacked the enemy base. It was horrific, the Republic soldiers fought for every scrap of land with the lives of ten, the temple was massive just like the battle. Blood came running down the walls of the temple as we continued our way in, the Republic soldiers closed of many doors but we got through, the end of the battle happened in the middle of the temple in which there was a giant pillar. The four of kept together despite it all. Suddenly laser beams shot from the sky into the centre of the temple, destroying everything in their way, it was our Start Destroyer. The enemy that was left ran from the lasers and into our sights, we blasted them.
Since the rest of Yavin 4 is a jungle, we didn’t encounter much resistance taking over the planet. Joran, Valek, Milbin and I stayed together as we conquered the moon. After we returned to the Start Destroyer SC Kenor gave a speech “We did it! Yavin 4 has fallen, now we are no longer the Lost Imperium!” Everyone cheered, SC Kenor continued “SU284, SU434, SU495 and SU507, come forth!” it was Joran, Valek, Milbin and me, we stepped forward. SC Kenor walked over to us and said “I heard you four were inside the temple and greatly helped us breakthrough, well congratulations, you have all been promoted to Sergent” he gave a salute and we saluted back.
For the next couple of days it seemed as if nothing going to happen, the Republic did not send any forces to take back Yavin 4 and SC Kenor made several trips down there. The speakers came on again “Our next conquest will be Tatooine!” everyone looked at one another for answers, instead of attacking Yavin itself, we are attacking the most useless and most uncontrollable planet in the galaxy, but it seemed Kenor was right about us attacking Yavin 4 and since we captured a lot of Republic supplies, it seemed logical to trust him. What could be in Tatooine that was so important everyone was wondering I’m sure. Ours wasn’t the position to ask questions. Our Death Star was able to jam major radars, We flew to the Outer Rim, leaving a large division of troops on Yavin 5. About 3 days later, Tatooine was in our sights, a number of us went to Nar Shaddaa to get supplies, once we got them we attacked the surface revealing ourselves to the inhabitants…
