Can't say I've ever seen it. As for Tom Cruise being unceremoniously dumped, I've also heard he's an asshole and I have to say it's always nice when something unfortunate befalls such a person.

If I could also say a little bit more on his scientology beliefs, he refused to allow his girlfriend to use any painkillers during her labour and then told her that she had to suffer any resulting pain in silence. This is what those looney cultists call a 'silent birth'. I'm also certain that it was a man who came up with this idea and I doubt he asked for a woman's opinion.

Also, to return to Paramount dismissing Mr. Cruise while staying on the subject of scientology; it's a welcome sight to see a studio distancing itself from one of the cult's more vocal members. Scientologists have had too much persuasion in the movie business for too long. They're practically the Hollywood mafia.

Hey, JYAMG. Good to see you. Great post, BTW.

Rain Man is a fantastic movie, although Dustin Hoffman really carried the load there.

In regards to Paramount dumping Tom Cruise, good. As for Tom Cruise actually saying F-you to someone because they don't like scientology, I think some more people need to line up on the red carpet and spray him with more liquids. Water, hot coffee, wolverine pee... whatever. This Tom Cruise madness needs to end, and I'm still going to shout about how much he sucked as a swordsman in "The Last Samurai." I wish that mean Japanese dude got more whacks off of Tom before having him surrender. That was such a good scene.

Another thing, when "The Last Samurai" came out, all these people flocked to the martial arts store that I go to and bought out all of the bokken (oak training sword). I needed one bad! I just broke one and I needed a replacement! All these kids were in there because of Tom Cruises crap performance. It was the latest trend! I hated what I saw! Tom Cruise posters all over the martial arts store!

"The Last Samurai" wasn't that bad of a movie at all. I thought Tom's performance was actually nice. You could level with the character and feel empathy for him. And the action was superb. Not sure why anyone would complain about "Last Samurai" when there are so many other movies out there that actually suck. Like "Superman Returns."

Superman Returns was decent, The Last Samurai was just stupid and inconsistent typical Hollywood crap.

Yes people the Last Samurai was actually a white American.

Icey nailed it on the head. Thank you. As for Superman Returns, I've never been a fan of Superman. So I really don't think I'm missing anything.

As for The Last Samurai, Tom Cruise's skill as a swordsman while filming just looked choreographed. As with most sword fights or lightsaber battles we see in film, they all look choreographed compared to actually fighting with the sword or boken. Like I said, the best scene in The Last Samurai was when Cruise had the mess beat out of him by that mean Japanese instructor. You could tell that he has trained for years with the sword and he knew what he was doing, even when just whackin' away at Tom. Poor Tom Cruise just looked too stiff with the sword. Then when he showed up on Oprah and had the audacity to show his sword swinging skills, it was just pathetic. I thought he got a lot more training with the sword while onset.... I guess not. And to add to the problem, when he was on Oprah, he looked like he didn't even want to be there showing off his "technique."

Yeah, because everyone knows how deeply flawed and untrue all my opinions are. Icey really stated the truth, and nailed it on the head. Good work, Icey. You are the one who spreads truth around the forums. No one does that better than you.

And no,

Superman Returns sucked.

Oh SWIS, I'm not trying to be rude to you, I just didn't like Tom Cruise's performance in The Last Samurai. It was inconsistent Hollywood crap. As for your opinions SWIS, you're entitled to that and no ones opinions are wrong.

As for Superman Returns, I don't like Superman much at all so I did not see it. I only liked Superman when he got a dose of red kryptonite. That was funny!
