Fresh Samosas at Officer B's house!

These aren't your ordinary paper-bag samosas you get on the corner. These are the REAL DEAL!

I like hand made vegetable samosas.

What ingredients did you put in?

For the pastry, I just used white flour, a little chana flour, which is indian chick pea flour, olive oil, and a little water.

In the filling I used potatoes, onions, and sweet peas. I chopped up a little cilantro as well, and put in a dollop of garam masala, and some fenugreek seeds.

Fried for a few seconds in half peanut-half olive oil, and ready to eat!

Doh! Garlic, ginger, green chiles, and lime juice as well.

I felt full until reading this and now this is making me hungry. I never heard of cilantro and fenugreek before but I do like spicy chana beans.

To me you sound like a good cook.

I made fresh guacamole, the real thing! If we could somehow get Chefelf to do something we could put out some sort of l&e cookbook.

By the way Officer B, you didn't happen to yell at three insane kids for running around in crazy costumes at the county fair, did you? Cuz if so I know you.

I don't think that was me. While I do yell at kids for running around in crazy costumes almost religiously, I live in Vancouver, and we don't have counties up here in Canada.

Nor do we really have fairs either, come to think of it.

But as for an L&E cookbook, good heavens I'm in! Chefelf, if you're listening, I recommend a call for submissions on the L&E homepage.

Oh I see, but how can people submit their recipes if it is not in the forums?

Ah yes, the old LnE boards. I was "El Diablo Verde". Then when I mentioned it here, Cheffers changed my rank to it. Very frustrating when I only had about 50 posts...

Ah, of course. I still have sweet, sweet dreams of the ol' L&E board. Ah yes.

I hope heaven got a L&E board like that....

The old board was archaic yet cozy. That's the best way I can put it.
